We know from what we have in the New Testament that there will be a third temple and some people think that the temple in Ezek. 40 will be the Millennial temple, but it won't be!

Let's see what God wants. That is what it is with the New Testament of having access to God the Father in heaven above through Jesus Christ. As we will see, there will be no physical temple made by men in the Millennium or any time after!

Because like we find in Jer. 7, when there's the physical building, people begin to trust in that building of God rather than trusting in God! They think that if they come there that it will be a blessing and that they can continue their lives any way that they want to. But the whole thing with God is this: it's not the building, it's not the animal sacrifices!

So, let's come here to Isa. 66 and let's see what God wants and we will answer the question that there will be no physical temple built in Jerusalem that Christ is going to enter into!

Isaiah 66:1: "Thus says the LORD, 'The heaven is My Throne, and the earth is My footstool…. [then He asks the question because of that]: …Where then is the house that you build for Me? And where is the place of My rest? For all these things My hand has made, and these things came to be,' says the LORD…." (vs 1-2).

Now here's the key, here's a whole summary of everything that's coming in the New Testament which we have today. This is what God is interested in, and this is also what's wrong with the things in the world today. It's also what's wrong with the so-called Christianity of today, because they do not teach:

  • true repentance
  • true obedience
  • true love

This is what God is looking for! For all of us, for everyone that comes to Him! We don't come to God because we're righteous of our own! We don't come to God because we keep His Commandments on our own in the letter of the Law. We come to God because of:

  • the sacrifice of Jesus Christ
  • forgiveness of sin
  • repentance and baptism

"…'But to this one… [anyone, man, woman, young or old] …I will look, to him who is of a poor and contrite spirit and who trembles at My Word'" (v 2).

What does that do? That tells you, like in Eph. 2 this is what is important. God wants a personal relationship with you based on love, and it gives you direct access to God the Father in heaven above. You don't need a priesthood. You don't need animal sacrifices, because the body and blood of Christ has broken all of that down. He says this:

Here's what the sacrifice of Christ did. Here's what is opened for us. And then we will look at some of the instructions, and we will see that there is no temple to be built for the Millennium!

Ephesians 2:15: "Having annulled in His flesh the enmity… [the hostility and carnality of the human mind] …the law of commandments contained in the decrees of men…"

These are the religions of men that have been nullified. The false interpretations of the Bible by men who throw away the law and love of God had been nullified. Not nullifying the Commandments of God, because the Commandments of God are

  • Perfect
  • Holy
  • Righteous
  • True

and based in love! And remember the three things:

  • you believe God
  • you obey God
  • you love God

"…the decrees of men…" (v 15). You're not to follow the traditions of Catholics, Protestants, Jews or Muslims, Hindus or Buddhists! None of those religions count, because God wants you directly coming to Him in:

  • repentance
  • love
  • desiring to obey Him and serve Him

"…so that in Himself He might create both into one new man, making peace" (v 15).

That is symbolically saying all of those who repent and come to God and are in the first resurrection will consist of the large body of all of those who will rule and reign with Christ in the Millennium.

Verse 16: "And that He might reconcile both to God in one body through the cross, having slain the enmity by it."

What are all of these other religions doing, and especially those that claim to be Christian? They create an enmity toward God!. An enmity is another word for enemy!

Sidebar: I watched the entire Pentecost service of the Roman Catholic Church headed up by Pope Leo XIV that was held on Pentecost—wrong day, by the way—and they had all their rituals, which aren't in the New Testament or the Old Testament. They had the incense, which is not there. They had the cup and the wine, and the bread, and it was a 'golden cup.' Who holds that golden cup (Rev. 17)? The great whore! Now why is it called a great whore?

Now here they were packed in elbow to elbow in St. Peter's Basilica and they droned on with the hypnotic chants that they all had. And there was a great body of the cardinals right up in the front. And at times they wore their white hat, at times they wore their red cap, at times they had white robes, at times they had white scarves around their shoulder, and at times they had on a red cape. All of this is the 'holiness of men.'

Did they use the Bible? Yes, they did use a small part of it and they read it. Right in St. Peter's Basilica surrounded by all the idols and a great phallic system right in the middle of it there, that great obelisk:

  • they all bowed
  • they all said 'amen'
  • they all had the chance, and there it was

Do you know what that was? It was the most blasphemous thing that I have ever seen! That they try and bring their righteousness and say they represent God when everything that they do is contrary to God and instead of worshipping God the Father and Jesus Christ—though they mutter their names—they worship Mary the Queen of Heaven, which Mary is not in heaven! That goes back to Semiramis of ancient Babylon.

What is this great system in the world called? Babylon the Great! That was astonishing to see. The only thing I could say going through it is blasphemy!

Just like it says there in Rev. 17, 'the name of blasphemy!'

Here's what God wants; Ephesians 2:17: "Now when He came, He preached the Gospel…" What did the Gospel start out with?

  • Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God!
  • He didn't come to abolish the Law but to complete and finish the Law.
  • Until heaven and earth pass, not one jot or tittle shall pass from the Law till all be fulfilled!

So, every Protestant, Catholic, and independent so-called Christians' read the Bible, because you're going against God! God wants you to come to Him with:

  • repentance
  • a humble spirit
  • a contrite heart
  • confessing your sins to Him
  • crying out to Him
  • asking Him to lead you and guide you in what you do

That's why there is baptism! Because you must—before you enter into a relationship with God the Father and Jesus Christ—have a symbolic death and burial for the sin of the Lord! Full immersion in water so that you are conjoined to the sacrifice of Christ. That's the whole important thing of true Christianity.

The reason we have so much trouble in the world today is because there is a Satan the devil and those who profess Christianity have long ago left God. You need to think about it? You need to repent! There are a lot of people who are so locked into their belief that they will die for the heresy that they believe!

How about if you repent and die for the righteousness that God gives you? Starting with baptism!

Verse 17: "Now when He came, He preached the Gospel—peace to you who were far off…"

That's all the Gentiles that went into all the world. Today everybody can have a complete version of the Bible held in the palm of their hands. Now how close can the Word of God come to you? Nothing can come closer than that!

If you want a true translation of the Bible you order The Holy Bible In Is Original Order, A Faithful Version. {afaithfulversion.org} You will find the whole Bible properly translated. The only Bible in English ever published that has all the books of the Bible in their original manuscript order to help you understand the Word of God.

All the mistranslations from the other versions have been corrected. We will send also the booklet: New Testament Scripture Comparisons compared to The Faithful Version. It will blow your mind as to how men have sought to destroy the Truth of God by corrupting it with their wrong translations. Now this is the enmity that Jesus got rid of.

Verse 18: "For through Him [Christ] we both… [Jew and Gentile; every person in the world who comes to God] …have direct access by one Spirit to the Father"—directly; and that will also be during the Millennium.

Verse 19: "So then, you are no longer aliens and foreigners; but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of the household of God."

Here's how you grow in grace and knowledge. It's not 'once saved, always saved.' It is you are saved from your sins, but you need to be saved from your human nature as you overcome it and repent as you go! Then you need to be saved from the flesh by the resurrection from the dead.

Verse 20: "You are being built up on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief Cornerstone in Whom all the building, being conjointly fitted together, is increasing into a Holy temple in the Lord… [no physical temple ] …In Whom you also are being built together for a habitation of God in the Spirit" (vs 20-22). So, this is quite a thing! This is what it has to be!

We will look and see that there will be no physical temple during the Millennium and then we'll analyze all the problems of the current war and what's going on in America.

Now let's continue on and finish the question, will there be a physical temple that men will build for Christ when he returns? And will there be animal sacrifices as we find in Ezek. 40 onward?

I'll tell you about the first part of it that has to do with the whole exterior setting of where the temple was in Jerusalem just before it was destroyed by the Babylonians. We know that the Jews went into captivity for 70 years, and when they came back they built another temple. Now, they had to have all the instructions on how to build the temple. That's what we find in Ezekiel 40. So, this is talking about the measurements to rebuild the temple when they came back out of the Babylonian captivity.

The first part of chapter 40 is all the exterior things around the temple. Now then, all of these measurements were of the physical temple in Jerusalem.

Ezekiel 40:48: "And he… [in vision the angel] …brought me to the porch of the temple…"

Here he's brought right up to the temple. Now everything else in chapter 40 is up to that.

"…and measured each pillar of the porch, five cubits on one side and five cubits on the other side. And the gate was three cubits wide on one side and three cubits on the other side. The porch was twenty cubits long, and eleven cubits wide. And it was by the steps that it was ascended. And columns were by the pillars, one on one side and another on the other side" (vs 48-49).

Ezekiel 41:1: "And he brought me to the temple and measured the pillars, six cubits wide on one side and six cubits wide on the other side, which was the breadth of the tabernacle."

Now the tabernacle was another name for the Holy of Holies because the Ark of the Covenant rested in there.

Verse 2: "And the breadth of the door was ten cubits…"—and so forth.

What happened here? Ezekiel measured the temple! One thing that is important to understand: the Ark of the Covenant was not in the temple at the time that Ezekiel was taken there in vision to see it, and the Ark of the Covenant was never taken by the Babylonians. And they didn't have the Ark of the Covenant when the temple was destroyed in 70AD.

So, this tells us here that sometime between the beginning of the first invasion of the Babylonians up to the time that Ezekiel was given the vision of what was taking place at the temple in Jerusalem, that the Ark of the Covenant was removed!

Tradition of the Jews says he [God] buried it in the subterranean parts under the temple, but it's not there! If they had found it, they would have built the temple long ago. They have made a duplicate one for the coming temple that they're going to build.

Let's read what's going to happen, and then we will see two verses that will tell us what kind of building, if we could describe it that way, will be the temple on earth.

Zechariah 14:1: "Behold, the Day of the LORD comes, and your spoil shall be divided in your midst, 'For I will gather all nations to battle against Jerusalem…'" (vs1-2).

That's what all of this turmoil going on today is beginning to set up.

"'…and the city shall be taken, and the houses plundered, and the women raped. And half of the city shall go into exile, and the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city.' And the LORD shall go out and fight against those nations, as when He fought in the day of battle. And His feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives… [that's east of where the temple was built]…which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall split in two, from the east and to the west, and make a very great valley. And half of the mountain shall move toward the north, and half of it toward the south. 'And you shall flee to the valley of My mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azal. And you shall flee as you fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah.' And the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with You" (vs 2-5)—because:

  • we'll be resurrected
  • meet Him in the air on the Sea of Glass

and we've covered that for Pentecost and what's going to happen there!

Verse 6: "And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark. And it will be one day, which shall be known to the LORD, neither day nor night…" (vs 6-7).

That's why they don't know the day or the night or the hour when Christ returns!

"…but it shall come to pass that at evening time it shall be light. And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem..." (vs 7-8).

Now, we find that at the end of Ezekiel. What that does in Ezekiel 40 and coming to the end of it with all the living waters, that just shows that from the time that Christ returns, then the Gospel is going to be preached to the whole world, but it was also going to be preached to the whole world before He came.

"…that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them shall go toward the eastern sea, and half of them toward the western sea. In summer and in winter it shall be. And the LORD shall be King over all the earth; in that day there shall be one LORD, and His name shall be one" (vs 8-9).

What kind of building will be there at Jerusalem, which will be headquarters for the whole world? Christ will be King, patriarchs, apostles the prophets will be there, and all of us will be kings and priests and we'll be out teaching the people wherever we're assigned to go and what's going to happen, because we will bring the whole thing of God:

  • the true worship of God
  • the true Holy Days
  • the true Government of God

Men have failed. Every empire, every nation, every government has failed because of sin!

Now then, when the Lord sets up everything in Jerusalem, let's see what it's going to be.

Isaiah 4:5: "And the LORD will create over every dwelling place of Mount Zion…

So, that means there's going to be spirit beings living there in Mount Zion with Christ

"…and over her assemblies, a cloud and smoke…" (v 5).

Now we have that, don't we, with the 40 years of the children of Israel in the wilderness.

"…by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory shall be a canopy. And there shall be a tabernacle…" (vs 5-6).

Not a temple, a tabernacle that He will build, because it says in Isa. 66:1-2, no man is going to build anything for God.

Verse 6: "And there shall be a tabernacle for shade by day from the heat, and for refuge, and for shelter from storm and rain."

That shows that's what it's going to be, a big tabernacle!

Let's see something very interesting indeed concerning the Plan of God and what it says back here in Rev. 21[transcriber's correction] when Christ returns to the earth.

Revelation 21:1: "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away, and there was no more sea. And I, John, saw the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice from heaven say, 'Behold, the Tabernacle of God is with men… [that is men and women made perfect spirit beings] …and He shall dwell with them, and they shall be His people; and God Himself shall be with them and be their God (vs 1-3).

Verse 22: "And I saw no temple in it; for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it."

That shows how of all of the commentaries have been concerning the so-called 'millennial temples.'

Sidebar: as Lyle Johnston pointed out—The Body of Jesus Christ: The Forerunner—which is this: there will not be animal sacrifices. Do we have them today? No! There will be no need for any animal sacrifice ever again. They will either come to God His way and the sacrifice of Christ will cover their sins, or they will go into the Lake of Fire if they don't repent. So, the whole system is going to be completely changed but that's important for us to understand concerning that.

All right, now then let's look at something else here. Let's look at human nature and why the world is the way that it is today.

Rom. 3 tells you why. How many times have you heard: 'Oh never again will this happen?

  • Have they ever stopped murders? No!
  • Have they ever changed the nature of men and women? No! Only God can do that!
  • What is the nature of human beings without God? The nature of human beings without God is the heart is deceitful and desperately wicked above all things!

Now all you have to do is to do what God has told you to do. Now all you have to do is understand that's what we see everywhere! Look at the whole Internet.

That's supposed to be a wonderful thing. Bring us all together. What has it done? It has brought in:

  • more sin
  • more division
  • more hate than anything else

It hasn't brought us peace! Yes, we're able to use it to have live services going out to you, but how long will that last? Look at the evil that there is going on right now. Just this morning two lawmakers in Minnesota were killed.

  • What's going to happen there?
  • Have they stopped the riots? No!

They know they're being paid to riot!

  • Why don't they cutoff the funds?
  • Why don't they arrest those who are funding them?
  • Why don't they shut down every Catholic NGO?

Because they're the ones who brought in all of the immigrants that we have in America, and they all were brought in because this nation lives in sin!

Remember, 80 million abortions! The blood of the innocent is coming with the payment of Christ. That's why we see what's happening today. They think, 'Oh well we elected Donald Trump and everything's going to be nice.' NO! He's going to be fortunate if he brings things down to a common denomination and a little bit of peace. He is here to help set up things the way that God wants them at the end! But:

  • look at what's happening in Jerusalem
  • look at what's happening with the war
  • look at what's happening in the Ukraine
  • look at all the crime that's going on here in America
  • look at the problems that they have in the UK
  • look at the difficulties that they have with the war in the Ukraine

Peace, peace, but there is no peace! Why? Because human beings, the very best that they think they can do always ends up in disaster! Here's why:

Romans 3:3: "For what if some did not believe? Shall their unbelief nullify the faithfulness of God?"

No, in spite of all the sins that are going on in the world, which we have magnified for us in Matt. 24—wars and rumors of wars and killing and hatefulness and lawlessness and the love of many shall grow cold—all of that's going on. We're seeing it vividly before our eyes.

"…Shall their unbelief nullify the faithfulness of God? MAY IT NEVER BE!...." (vs 1-2). Because God has given us free moral agency to choose what we want to choose!

  • Do we choose God of our own volition?
  • Do we choose to repent of our own volition?
  • Do we choose to love God and keep His Commandments and all of those things by our own volition?

We have to choose!

"…Rather, let God be true but every man a liar…" (v 4).

That's what it is! Every human being is a liar! And every one of us know that in the depths of our hearts, without the Holy Spirit of God:

  • we're liars
  • we're deceitful
  • we are wretched
  • we are lustful

All of those things are there in human nature!

But God has rescued us through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and His shed blood so that we can have contact directly with Him now. But here's the world:

"…exactly as it is written: 'That You might be justified in Your words, and might overcome when You are being judged by men'" (v 4).

Now that is the proper translation, because every human being on earth has an opinion and judgment of God; everyone! Some say, 'I don't believe God.' That's your unbelief. Some say, 'I accept Jesus, but I don't keep the Commandments.'

  • that's a lie
  • that's your belief
  • that's not of God

"…every man a liar, exactly as it is written: 'That You might be justified in Your words. [every word of God written down] …and might overcome when You are being judged by men.'"  (v 4).

No man is going to condemn God and make it stick, because God is Righteous and Holy and True!

Verse 5: "But if our unrighteousness brings to reality God's righteousness…"

What does that mean? Our sins show by reading the Truth of God and the Laws and Commandments of God, that they are right and our behavior is wrong! That's what it's talking about.

Verse 5: "But if our unrighteousness brings to reality God's righteousness, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous to inflict His wrath? (I am speaking according to man's view.) MAY IT NEVER BE! Otherwise, how shall God judge the world?" (vs 5-6). And that's what's going on!

He is judging the world through the physical things and the spiritual things that are taking place. The Scripture says, 'judgment is now on the House of God' That means that as we live our lives and what we choose to do and prayer and study and repentance and living God's way, all of that is the sum total of what our lives are like before God!

But if all the sins of all the world prove that God is right and He inflicts wrath…  You read what's going to happen when Christ returns!

"…Otherwise, how shall God judge the world?" (v 6).

What is He going to do to get their attention? If people receive blessings in sin, why do people then have to keep the Commandments of God to receive blessing? That's incongruous, makes no sense.

Verse 7: "For if, by my falsehood, the Truth of God has shown itself to be supremely great, to His glory…" That's what it is when we read the Word of God.

  • He said it going to be this way, it is this way
  • He said this will happen if you do such and such, it happens
  • He said that if you repent and are baptized and receive the Holy Spirit and come to Him, then you belong to Him

All of this to His glory!

"…Why am I being judged as a sinner? But not, according as we are being blasphemously charged, and according as some are affirming that we say, 'Let us practice evil things in order that good things may come.' Their condemnation is deserved" (vs 7-8).

That's what happened! They say that 'you can't keep the Commandments, because you're trying to earn your salvation.' No, you're not! Salvation is the gift of God, but you don't get the gift of God unless you do the things that God says! They're very simple.

Verse 9: "What then? Are we of ourselves better?.... [than any in the world?] …Not at all! For we have already charged both Jews and Gentiles—ALL—with being under sin."

That's what we are. We have a sinful nature. And every time a catastrophe happens, they always say, 'let's have another loss so this will never happen again.' That's completely the wrong thing! You have got to change the heart! The heart can only be changed by choice of each individual in repentance to God and amending their behavior from their way to God's way.

  • belief
  • obedience
  • love God

Verse 9: "What then? Are we of ourselves better? Not at all! For we have already charged both Jews and Gentiles—ALL—with being under sin."

There may be a mixture of a little good in there, but sin is always there to take them down,

Verse  10: "Exactly as it is written: 'For there is not a righteous one—not even one!

Now, if you don't believe that, go back and study the book of Job. The most righteous man in the letter of the Law that ever lived. Job had to come to find out that God can know every thought! That when he takes to himself the prerogatives of God and says, 'I'm equal to God because I've done all of this,' he is the greatest sinner that has ever been! People don't understand that when they read the book of Job.

Verse 11: "There is not one who understands; there is not one who seeks after God."

There may be a few who are doing it, but you have to be careful, because there is a false Jesus and a false god of Satan the devil out there, which are trying to confuse and bring people into captivity.

Verse 12: "They have all gone out of the way; together they have all become depraved…."

Isn't that what we're seeing? Depraved people that:

  • hate law and order
  • hate other people
  • hate laws
  • hate the Truth
  • hate God

"…There is not even one who is practicing kindness. No, there is not so much as one!" (v 12). A lot of the kindness they do is to cover the knowledge of the sins that they live by!

Verse 13: "Their throats are like an open grave; with their tongues they have used deceit; the venom of asps is under their lips, whose mouths are full of cursing and bitterness" (vs 13-14).

  • Doesn't that tell you what's going on in the world?
  • Doesn't that tell you why there are the wars in the Middle East?
  • Yes, it does right there!

Verse 15: "Their feet are swift to shed blood; destruction and misery are in their ways; and the way of peace they have not known. There is no fear of God before their eyes'" (vs 15-18).

That's the sum total of everything that is in the world; New Testament teaching! This is what we need to realize this is why we're scattered:

  • God is protecting us
  • God is giving us a closeness to Him that we could not have otherwise
  • we're able to have live streaming services

so wherever you are

  • you can have the service
  • you can hear the Word of God

But all of us need to

  • study the Word of God on our own every day
  • to pray to God every day
  • to look to God
  • to love God
  • to do the things that He wants us to do

That's what God wants!

We have a new book that's coming out which is just in time for everything going on. It's called The Love of God: What Surpasses Human Knowledge with CDs that go along with it. We need:

  • to learn the love of God
  • to learn the Truth of God
  • to have our heart and mind in a contrite spirit

coming to God in love and understanding and confessing our sins! That's why the model prayer is every day. 'Your will be done and forgive us our trespasses.'

Today our minds are riddled with all things coming through the internet or television or radio or whatever it is that we have and so we need to stay close to God. That's what the whole thing is all about.

Verse 19: "Now then, we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those who are under the Law…"

We are within Law when we keep the Commandments of God. When you:

  • break the Law of God
  • transgress the Law of God
  • reject His Commandments

you are under Law by the very things you reject!

"…so that every mouth… [every person] …may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God" (v 19).

All are under sin, and that's where the world is. Let's talk about the war. What's going to happen? Looks like the Iranians are going to be set back, and it looks like that the Jews are going to be able to get a modicum of peace so that the they can build the temple and that's what it's going to lead up to.

It's very interesting that other Muslim nations are helping the Jews against the Iranians. So that's interesting indeed! But we know that there will be a temple in Jerusalem! We've covered that before.

  • Matt. 24
  • 2-Thess. 2
  • Rev. 19 (measure the temple)

Now let's look at something here so that we can come to an understanding of it and let me just tell you this: You need our series on Daniel/Revelation. Now there may be a couple of things we need to update in it but this is the most complete layout of the last seven years leading up to the return of Christ and the destruction of the temple that the Jews will build.

Dan. 9—let's look at that because this tells us about the last seven years, which is called a week, the 70th week. Each day of that week being one year

Daniel 9:26—talks about the first coming of Christ: "And after sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off but not for Himself. And the people of the prince who shall come…"—this is the last Beast Power right here!

So, this is the way the prophecies are sometimes. It looks like it continues right with it there but it is actually a projection forward to the end-time, which this is.

"…shall destroy the city and the sanctuary…. [that's going to happen; that's Jerusalem and the temple they will build] …But his end shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week" (vs 26-27)—the last seven years!

At the beginning of the seven years there's going to be a covenant between the King of the North and the Jews. We'll have to see how that comes! King of the North yet has to develop even more.

"…And in the midst of the week… [after three and a half years] … he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease…" (v 27).

We know that there are going to be sacrifices given, and we know that there is going to be everything there in a physical temple.

"…and upon the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate even until the consummation. And the fully determined end which is decreed shall be poured out upon the desolator" (v 27)—the one who comes and sits in the temple.

Now we have that in 2-Thess. 2 that the man of sin, the son of perdition goes into the Holy Place in the temple and says 'he' is God! That's when the sacrifices stop.

Now I'm going to ring my cowbell so that we can understand that this is a thinking on this and this is not absolutely dogma. It is probably true! That means we are thinking on this as a strong possibility!

Now three and a half years, that's what it says he will cause in Dan. 9 the sacrifices to cease in the midst of the week.

Now you will see in the layout of Daniel/Revelation we've got a great big chart 11 by 17 breaks it down the last seven years breaks down all of these different prophecies and puts them together. It's quite a detailed study. But we need to remember not all the days start at the same time and not all the days end at the same time. Give you an example:

How long is it that the two witnesses are going to prophesy? 1,260 days that's three and a half years. Now we can put on three and a half days more, because that's how long they lie on the street of Jerusalem, and then the resurrection starts with them being resurrected. The last two martyred are the first two resurrected.

Let's read Dan. 12 and see if we can get some understanding:

Daniel 12:11: "And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away… [this means how long it's going to be] …and the abomination that causes desolation is set up…" That's:

  • 2-Thess. 2 goes into the temple
  • Matt. 24:15 the abomination it makes desolation

"…there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days" (v 11).

Does this tell us that the animal sacrifices reinstituted when the temple is set up will continue 1,290 days and then it is cut off in the abomination of desolation?

Because it says in the middle of the week—of the seven years—the sacrifices shall be cut off. So, we've always thought that this 1,290 days goes toward the end rather than from the time that the sacrifices begin at the beginning of the seven years.

It's very possible that the 1290 days is the length of time and duration that there will be sacrifices at the temple once they get it set up.

What I've done on the chart at home I've looked at that and if you take 1290 days and in prophecy a month is 30 days that's three and a half years. Guess what the Calculated Hebrew Calendar shows? It shows two common years and one leap year with an extra month so that's the difference between 1260 and 1290.

If the sacrifices start and they go for 1290 days and then the 'abomination of desolation' is set up here: "…and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days" (v 11).

Is this telling us 1290 days that the sacrifices will be going and then cut off? Very likely so, because Dan. 9 tells us that they will be cut off.

Let's also look at one other thing that will help us understand. With all this war going on people are concerned that the end is near and it's closer than it has been but that doesn't mean that it's ready to be shifted into full gear.

Rev. 6—Now let me just reiterate again that Rev. 4 and 5 tell us that everything at the end-time is going to be controlled and let loose and instigated with God's permission. What did Jesus say to the disciples when they wanted to know when He would return? He said it is in the Father's hand and it's not for you to know! It's in His authority! So Rev. 4 and 5 we see God the Father and Christ

Revelation 6:1: "And I looked when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures say, like the sound of thunder, 'Come and see.' And I looked, and behold, there was a white horse; and the one who was sitting on it had a bow, and a crown was given to him; and he went out conquering, and to conquer" (vs 1-2).

Now this is the whole ecumenical movement of bringing all the religions together as we find in Rev. 17 of all nations.

The things that the Catholic Church is preaching now is 'all religions are a pathway to God.' Come and join us.' I've talked to a Seventh-day Adventist minister who is coming out of Seventh-Day Adventism and he's blown away with all the books that we have sent him and what is in the Bible. We don't know where this is going to go because he's in contact with other SDA ministers. However he says even had when Pope Paul II was in office when he came to America in St. Louis he spoke to the Seventh-day Adventist.

He can see that the SDAs as they are today become easy targets to come into the ecumenical movement. So watch what the pope does, watch what he says because it's:

  • going to be slick
  • going to be clever
  • going to be very powerful of the power of Satan

Verse 3: "And when He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, 'Come and see.' And another horse went out that was red; and power was given to the one sitting on it to take peace from the earth…" (vs 3-4).

What does this tell us? With the ecumenical movement and all religions coming together under the hegemony of the pope and the Catholic Church there will be a temporary peace! That will be a time when the temple in Jerusalem will be functioning again with sacrifices and with offerings as it says in Dan. 9 and Dan. 12. Then in Dan. 11 when the King of the South pushes at the King of the North, and he:

  • comes against him
  • comes into the area conquers Egypt
  • comes into the Holy Land
  • enters into the temple and says he is 'God'

that's when the Great Tribulation begins!

So, the question remains with this: How long will they have the animal sacrifices reinstituted once they get the temple up and running?

They're going to be cut off after three and a half years; 1,290 days is three and a half years with two common months and one leap year month; comes right down to it. So, we'll have to look at it there and see what happens with it.

Do your own study and see IF you think that this fits, and it looks like it does, THEN we can look at it with a little more and sure assurance that that assurance that that is the correct way that it should be!
