Now then, we'll just cover some headlines. There's a lot of things before we get into what we're going to cover today. There are a lot of things going on and what is taking place with Donald Trump in the Middle East and the world and everything like that. I think we can conclude that God is preparing the end-time events to take place. They must be as He determines.

Now, I know there are some people who will say, well, Donald Trump is the beast because he had the wound. Well, you need to understand it says the beast is going to have a deadly wound, but he recovers.

Donald Trump missed the deadly wound, and it struck his ear. But what did that do? That brought him to God that the very next public statement that he made was, 'I'm standing before you here tonight—at the Republican convention—by the grace of Almighty God.'

We have seen that God deals with world leaders. You can go back to the book of Daniel, you have Nebuchadnezzar. God even gave him a dream that no one could figure out. So, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego got together and spared the lives of all of the wise men of Babylon, and asked God to reveal the dream. So, God did!

Daniel went in and presented it to the king, because Nebuchadnezzar told everyone, I want you to tell me about the dream. and tell me what the dream was.

Only God could do that and give it to Daniel. So, Daniel was brought in and he told the king about the statue, they had a golden and silver and brass and iron and iron and clay at the feet. Then you read Dan. 4, because this was written by King Nebuchadnezzar.

Now that doesn't mean that he was converted. He did acknowledge God and the Most High when he got done with his trial. So, the things that are happening and developing will just have to see where they go and how they work out.

Now remember this—because there are going to be a lot of people saying that Jesus is coming right away. The secret rapture is going to occur. No, there is no secret rapture. They get that all mixed up with the resurrection.

The end-times are not going to come to the last fulfillment—as we find in the Scriptures and in the book of Revelation—until there is a temple built in Jerusalem by the Jews, and they begin offering animal sacrifices again!

So don't believe what anyone may tell you is their opinionwhen Jesus is going to return, because you have to follow what the Scriptures say.

Now here's what we're entering into. I talked with Steve Thompson, who came from Britain, still has a British accent, and he keeps in touch with what's going on in Britain. They're giving themselves over to the 'woke green.' That is the super extreme control and authority of the government over everything you say and do and the taxes that they bring. It is a mess in the UK.

Nigel Farage is leading a Reform Party, and maybe that will bring about sort of a Trumpian effect to the UK if they can get it in there. But they have everything. They want to go to the 15 minute city. They don't want people to be able to pass on the family farms, which have been for generations and generations in the UK to the children unless they pay a high tax. So, there are going to be those things take place.

The things in Europe have to take place. The things in the Middle East has to take place. So we don't know how all of this is going to work out. But let's see how it fits into prophecy as it comes along. All right, now we have this, here's a story.

Archeologists have found the remains of Mayan child sacrifice. And here's what is written about it. This is quite a thing. Because what they do, they play down the violence of killing the children because it's a sacrifice to the sun. Archeologists in Guatemala uncovered an ancient Mayan altar that was clearly used for child sacrifice. Yet, the Associated Press managed to find someone to claim that the practice was not violent, but just their way of connecting with the celestial bodies.

The correct interpretation is Satan and the demons!

Now then, here's one. Three signs from Daniel that signaled the end of the world. Well, unless they have in there that there's coming a temple, they don't have it right. Now then, here in America, there is a blowback against the gender ideology. Now understand this. One of the most satanic things that has happened—it's happened in the past with Sodom and Gomorrah—where they say that people can change sex.

A man can become a woman and a woman can become a man. Well, that's not true because it's physically impossible and all the operations in the world is not going to make them one way or the other. They still are what they are. So this is just strictly from Satan to devil. Those who believe in it are mentally ill. They should not have the rights of people and the regular citizens. They need to go have their brains cleansed out, hopefully, by the Word of God.

Then it talks about Christian persecution that's taking place. So, there's a lot going on. All right.

  • What does it take for people to really believe the Word of God?

For those who are teaching the Word of God:

  • How should it be taught?

When we have difficult Scriptures:

  • How are we going to interpret them?

When we draw a comparison Scripture with Scripture:

  • Are we identifying everything the way that it should be?

Now this is the heart and the core of the count to Pentecost. Believe it or not, after five weeks of explaining it, there are still some people who will not understand it, and will not be honest with the Word of God.

I've got a study paper here, which is a transcript by David Grabbe who is the leading scholar for the Church of the Great God. He gave a sermon, an entire sermon, trying to answer the question about Josh. 5, but he never went there.

Isn't that amazing? So, we will go there again because this is profoundly important. He did not understand the Scriptures in the New Testament. He did not understand those in the Old Testament. He did a lot of talk about the Sadducees and the Pharisees and what they believe and what they didn't believe and so forth.

You need to be careful with that because there's division among the Sadducees, the Pharisees, the Essenes, and then others that come along. So, he gave a sermon on how to count to Pentecost in 2025, and never went to Joshua 5

We'll cover that. See. Now also, we'll just put in here, that the Church of the Great God believes that you are born again when you are baptized! And there are some other Churches of God who believe that. We'll cover that in a separate message as we go down in time.

But the Bible properly put together gives us the understanding of these things. But we have to be willing to set aside all of our own opinions and the opinions of other men who have thoughts that do not agree with the Bible, though they're supposed to be in positions of authority so that we can understand.

Now, let's come back here to 2-Tim., and this was at a time when there was a lot of heresy going on in the Church. 2-Tim. 2. This tells us what we need to do and how we need to do it. It's very specific.

2-Timothy 2:13: "If we are unfaithful… [Paul is talking about himself and Timothy] …He remains faithful—He cannot deny Himself." That's why the Word of God is Truth.

Let's see what he says after that! This becomes important, because they were facing a lot of heresy at that time. Even Paul wrote to the Corinthians that there were those there in Corinth who said that the resurrection is over; there's no more resurrection. How did that get in there? Because these were pagans with Greek philosophy before, and they were bringing in the Greek philosophy to try and weld it to the Word of God. You can't do that!

Verse 14: "See that they remain mindful of these things, earnestly charging them in the sight of the Lord not to argue over words that are not profitable in any way…"

What you have to do is find out the true meaning and not argue over them! That's the problem with counting to Pentecost.

"…but which lead to the subverting of those who hear" (v 14).

Now, what did it do in Worldwide Church when it finally fell apart? Split it into how many ever groups!

Verse 15—here's a charge to every member, every elder, everyone who studies the Bible. There's a right way to do it! And you can't do as the Protestants do today. Picture a nice little verse that you have. Like one minister recently preached that what are you going to do when you get to heaven and meet Jesus, He's going to ask you, 'Did you love Me?' And if you say 'yes,' then you're in heaven.

What did Jesus say on the earth before He was crucified? IF you love Me:

  • keep My Commandments
  • keep My Words
  • keep My Word

And the one who does not love Me does not keep My words!

I was amazed watching TBN and Daystar this week. They are losing everything. Just like God has said, IF you get rid of Christ, pretty soon you know nothing! That's exactly where they are. They know the name of Jesus, but that's about it!

Here's what we are to do, and this is something that every one of us needs to apply, but especially anyone who is an elder or teacher!

That's why I have my cowbell. You can't give your own opinion as doctrine, and you cannot leave out vital Scriptures that tell you the Truth. You cannot misinterpret them to make it fit your own philosophy!

If you have an opinion, get a cowbell like I have; I've had this for years, but originally came from a Pastor Peterson back in Colorado, who when he gave his opinion, instead of reading the Bible, he'd ring a cowbell. That alerts everybody to pay attention, this is a thought; but not all thoughts are good thoughts. We all know that! And not all thoughts are Godly thoughts! Notice what Paul says here:

Verse 15: "Diligently study to show yourself approved unto God…"

This tells us that if we're going to be teaching and preaching, Who's watching? God the Father and Jesus Christ!

"…a workman… [you have to apply yourself to it] … who does not need to be ashamed rightly dividing the Word of the Truth" (v 15). Very interesting, indeed!

IF you wrongly divide the Word of Truth, you should be ashamed that you would treat the Word of God so lightly!

Verse 16: "But avoid profane and vain babblings because they will only give rise to more ungodliness, and their words will eat away at the body like gangrene; of whom are Hymeneus and Philetus, who have gone astray from the Truth…" (vs 16-18).

Now, that's very important, You can have the Truth, but when all of these wrong ideas come in, it can lead you away! What happened when Worldwide went from Sabbath to Sunday? Half of the people accepted it! They lead to more ungodliness!

"…claiming that the resurrection has already taken place, and are destroying the faith of some. Nevertheless, the foundation of God stands firm, having this seal: 'The Lord knows those who are His,' and, 'Let everyone who calls upon the name of Christ depart from unrighteousness'" (vs 18-19).

If you don't rightly divide the Word of God, you taking the Word of God and making it into a lie, because you're not properly dividing it!

I hope we can put to rest, how to count to Pentecost, so let's continue on with how we're going to investigate this and put everything together.

What you need to do is get all the Scriptures concerning it because the premise of what David Grabbe was 'proving' that the day after the Sabbath, that Sabbath must be within the seven days of Unleavened Bread!

But he never addressed the problem of Josh. 5. Get the booklet: Count To Pentecost: From the Morrow After Which Sabbath {truthofGod.org}

Because of the way that the Calculated Hebrew Calendar is, the beginning of the count as far as the day of the week is concerned is always identified. When you have the Passover occur on a weekly Sabbath, then that presents the problem.

David Grabbe did not answer that! What he did was go to the week of Jesus' crucifixion, where there's no dispute as to the Sabbath being within the days of Unleavened Bread.

However, when you have the Passover on a weekly Sabbath, then the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread is on a Sunday, and you go the whole week and the next Sabbath is the last day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. And they say that you can't offer the Wave Sheaf until after that last Sabbath. Well, that puts the Wave Sheaf outside the days of Unleavened Bread!

And a lot of that stems from the fact, and one of the reasons why we have the Faithful Version Bible, that the King James people and others after them mistranslated verses in the New Testament!

When they're properly translated, we discover something very important and something profound!

Matt. 26:17 is when the disciples came to Jesus and wanted to know where to prepare the Passover. Now notice what was written, and you can read the footnote that we have in the Bible; that's important!

Matthew 26:17: "Now, on the first of the unleaveneds…"—that is a literal translation!

The King James adds, 'feast of.' Well, you can't have the Feast of Unleavened Bread before Passover, can you? No!

What we found out in translating the Bible properly, there were a lot of mistranslations in the King James! That's why people never understood.

Matthew 26:17: "Now, on the first of the unleaveneds, the disciples came to Jesus, saying to Him, 'Where do You desire that we prepare for You to eat the Passover?'"

Think about that! They hadn't eaten the Passover, yet. So, this "…first of the unleaveneds…" can only refer to the Passover Day, as we will see. This becomes vitally important when we go back to Josh. 5.

Luke 22:7: "Then came the day of the unleaveneds…"

Not a day, but the day! That's what it is in the Greek.

"…in which it was obligatory to kill the Passover lambs" (v 7). It's called the first of the unleaveneds!

Now let's come to Mark 14:12, and all three of these (Scriptural references) tell us something very important. We've covered this, but we'll go over it again!

Mark 14:12—this is a literal translation from the Greek. This is why you need the booklet: New Testament Scripture Comparisons by Joseph Ackermann. He spent seven years examining those 26 translations, and you will see how that the translators… It's interesting that translators always leave a record of what they don't do as well as what they do. So, we know when we examine it carefully and see what they took out! And just in the New Testament alone, 3500 words.

The keys on this is if you restore those words. For example, it talks about Jesus being the Firstborn. About 20 of the New Testament translations leaves out that Jesus was the Firstborn. 'She gave birth to her Son.' Not 'her Son, the Firstborn.'

Do you see what that does? That tells you that maybe she wasn't a virgin! Maybe she had another child before! See what happens when men don't rightly translate or divide the Word of God according to Truth.

And in everything that we do—if God sends someone—they have to speak the words of God! It has to be the Truth of God. But you can also take two truths—speaking on different subjects—and you can create a false doctrine which appears true!

You know how that is; that's called obfuscating. That means you admit to the Truth, but you really don't tell it all together. You hear that word mentioned about politicians, but it's more with theologians than anything else.

Now Mark 14:12 is very clear; very clear! We saw where it was obligatory to kill the Passover lambs. For what? The Passover meal. Beginning the night of the Passover!

Mark 14:12: "And on the first day of the unleaveneds, when they were killing… [present tense, the Greek there is 'thuo'—actively killing the Passover lambs.

"…His disciples said to Him, 'Where do You desire that we go and prepare, so that You may eat the Passover?'" (v 12).

This tells us that the Passover Day is a separate single Unleavened Bread day! Why? Because in its fulfillment with the sacrifice of Christ—which was on the Passover Day—and we find in:

1 Cor. 5, that Christ is our Passover sacrifice for us! And John the Baptist said of Christ, 'Behold the Lamb of God.' So, this means that the Passover Day itself is a separate single day of unleavened bread, coming before and separate from, but attached to the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which is for seven days.

Now a lot of people get all upset and say, 'it doesn't say eight days of Unleavened Bread.' Well, this tells us that the Passover Day is an unleavened bread day. What were they doing on that day, at the beginning of it? Killing the lambs!

The apostles were watching it and they came to Jesus, and I've explained why Jesus did it this way: so that Judas would not know where they were keeping the Passover!

Now then, let's keep this in mind when we come to Lev. 23. Now then, let me explain what David Grabbe said. He brought in about the Sadducees and the Pharisees, and they came to the point that they allowed no work on the Holy Days. We will see that that is not true.

A Holy Day—even though it's called a Sabbath—has a different application than the weekly Sabbath. So, let's begin right here in Lev. 23:1 so we get our bearings straight.

Leviticus 23:1: "And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 'Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, "Concerning the appointed Feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be Holy convocations, even these are My appointed Feasts"'" (vs 1-2). As we know, that was set on the fourth day of the creation!

Now notice what it says about the weekly Sabbath. But the Holy Day Sabbaths are not like that, except the Day of Atonement.

Verse 3: "Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, a Holy convocation. You shall not do any work. It is a Sabbath to the LORD in all your dwellings."

There is no work to be done on the Sabbath, yet—as Jesus explained—the priest offered sacrifices on the Sabbath! As Jesus said in Matt. 12, they were blameless! Why? Because God required it! You can go to Num. 28 & 29 and read all of the required sacrifices that they were to do.

Verse 4: "These are the appointed Feasts of the LORD, Holy convocations, which you shall proclaim in their appointed seasons. In the fourteenth day of the first month, between the two evenings… [we know all about that, that's right after sunset] …is the LORD'S Passover." (vs 4-5).

  • that's when it started
  • that's when they killed the lambs
  • that's what they were doing

as we find in Mark 14:12!

They were standing there and speaking to Jesus and looking out over and seeing that the lambs that all of the pilgrims had for their Passover sacrifice, they were killing the lambs!

Verse 6: "And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the LORD…." That's separate from the Passover!

"…you must eat Unleavened Bread seven days. On the first day you shall have a Holy convocation. You shall not do any servile work therein" (vs 6-7).

It doesn't say you shall not do any work as we will see. Even though this is in italics, it's a clarification from the verse below.

Verse 8: "But you shall offer a fire offering to the LORD seven days. In the seventh day is a Holy convocation. You shall do no servile work therein."'

  • What is the difference between no work and no servile work? You have to answer that question!
  • What is it?

No work means you don't conduct business; you don't work for money! Your servants do not wait on you, because they are to rest, as well. And your animals are also to rest, as well. That's Sabbath; no work!

But no servile work. What is the difference? The difference is this. You are allowed to do whatever is necessary for keeping the Feast! And also remember this:

The Passover is not a Sabbath except when the Passover, by calculation, falls on the weekly Sabbath.

What takes precedence when that happens? Everything necessary to keep the Passover could be done! Otherwise, they couldn't keep the Passover! So, this is what we're up against.

Verse 9: "And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 'Speak to the children of Israel and say to them…'" (vs 9-10).

Listen carefully! These are specific instructions for a one-time event!

"…'When you have come into the land, which I give to you…'" (v 10).

We will look at when they came into the land. How many times did they come into the land? Ten times? No, just once! So this is the command for this one event.

"…When you have come into the land…" We'll read that in Josh. 5 in just a minute!

"…and shall reap the harvest of it…" (v 10).

Now, this is in the springtime; this is when the barley gets ripe. Who planted it? The Canaanites, the Hivites, the Hittites, and so forth in the fall; so the harvest could be in the spring. It's not correct to say that if it was planted by them, the harvest is unclean!

That's an opinion—entered into understanding this—which causes confusion! It's not unclean. When you plant a seed, as we all know, it disintegrates as it grows. What grows is not contaminated. You find no place in the laws of clean and unclean that grain itself is ever called unclean. Except if a dead body falls upon grain that has water with it, then that is unclean. Otherwise, you cannot declare grain unclean. God didn't!

"…When you have come into the land, which I give to you, and shall reap the harvest of it …" (v 10).

See, that's the harvest of the land that God gave them. They (the people of the land) didn't give it to them. God gave it to them! They didn't plant it, but they inherited it!

"…then you shall bring the premier sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest to the priest" (v 10).

Why is this important? Because when the Passover falls on the weekly Sabbath, the laws of the Passover take precedence over the Sabbath!

Otherwise, you couldn't have a Passover if you couldn't take your own lamb and kill it and prepare it and have it ready for the Passover, when Passover falls on the Sabbath! If you couldn't do that, then you couldn't keep the Passover! That falls under the thing of servile work! That is, you can do whatever is necessary for keeping the Feast.

Verse 11: "And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD to be accepted for you…."

Grabbe says, you can't cut it on the Sabbath, because that's work.

  • How are you going to bring a sheaf to the priest that he has to wave it on the day after the Sabbath if you can't cut it?
  • If you can't cut it either on the Passover Day or the first day of Unleavened Bread?

Remember, what we read in Lev. 23, what we're reading right here now, is a one-time event!

That applies whenever the Passover falls on a weekly Sabbath. That's why you need the booklet: Count To Pentecost: From the Morrow After Which Sabbath. This will answer all of the questions.

But people run around, and they like to have all their little short little answers, and they never take the time:

  • to read
  • to study
  • to understand

They never apply their minds using the Scripture, rightly dividing it to come to understand the Truth! They just look up at the minister and say, because he's a minister and says so, it's good! May not be! Even in the Churches of God!

Verse 12: "And you shall offer that day when you wave the sheaf, a male lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering to the LORD."

Did the priest have to offer that? So, that day, being weekly Sabbath, he had the morning sacrifice for the lamb for the Sabbath day and the evening sacrifice in the evening for the burnt offerings for the Sabbath Day. Plus the lamb for the Passover Day!

Now, who is the male lamb without blemish in the flesh? As Lyall pointed out: Jesus Christ! That was the type of it. {Message: Why the Body of Jesus Christ is Important to Mankind #1}

Verse 13: "And its grain offering… [they had to harvest some grain] …shall be two tenth parts of fine flour mixed with oil, an offering made by fire to the LORD for a sweet savor. And the drink offering of it shall be of wine, the fourth part of a hin."

Verse 14 becomes really critical and very important in understanding Josh. 5 and subsequent Passover's on that fall on the weekly Sabbath.

Verse 14: "And you shall eat neither bread, nor parched grain, nor green ears until the same day, until you have brought an offering to your God…."

What did they have for 40 years? Manna! When they conquered east of the Jordan River, there was a lot of grain fields there. But we don't find them eating any of it, because God said 'You are not to eat it until you bring the offering.' Now, we will see that they had to have had the Wave Sheaf Offering waved on that first day of the week being also the first day of the week!

Now then, take this command here, 'you're not to eat any grain until the Wave Sheaf is offered!

IF you don't wave it—as I just explained it—you're not to eat any grain until the Wave Sheaf is offered, during that week that they came into the 'promised land.'

IF the Wave Sheaf Offering was not waved until after the seventh day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which fell on a Sabbath, and then wave it the next day, guess what? What does it say here?

You can't eat any grain until the Wave Sheaf Offering!

So, in effect, according to the interpretation of Grabbe and others, they could not have eaten any grain until the Wave Sheaf is offered.

Isn't that what God says? Because here you have Passover Day on the Sabbath, then first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread goes by, and the last day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread was on the Sabbath, and they insist that the Wave Sheaf was waved after that seventh day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which means if that were true, they didn't eat any grain/bread until that took place!

Did you follow that? That's a clear instruction here! There are two very important one-time instruction concerning the first Passover and Unleavened Bread in the 'promised land':

  • that you are not to eat the new grain until the Wave Sheaf Offering is waved
  • you are not to harvest

But what does servile work mean? It means anything necessary to keep the Feast! There you have it.

Had to have the Wave Sheaf Offering and they couldn't eat any bread or any grain! Those two things apply directly to the one-time event they entered into the 'promised land.' Josh. 4 gives us a time setting to begin with.

Joshua 4:19: "And the people came up out of the Jordan…"—because they were all on the east side of the Jordan River!

Then God stopped the Jordan River from flowing and they got the 12 stones that they were to put there on the other side when they all got there.

Joshua 4:19: "And the people came up out of the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month… [and came across to the west side of the Jordan] …and camped in Gilgal on the east border of Jericho."

So here's Jericho. Here's where the children of Israel were. And here's the Jordan River. Then they had the circumcision which took place on the 10th day of the 1st month.

Joshua 5:9: "And the LORD said to Joshua, 'Today I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you.' Therefore, the name of the place is called Gilgal to this day. And the children of Israel camped in Gilgal and kept the Passover on the fourteenth day of the month at evening in the plains of Jericho" (vs 9-10).

Even though this was a regular Sabbath Day, they could do everything necessary to keep the Passover! They could kill the lamb. You couldn't kill it on the 13th because that's not the Passover. You couldn't kill it on the 15th because that's the day after the Passover.

Even though it was a weekly Sabbath, you have to kill the lamb because that's what God commands! That command of the Passover takes precedence over the weekly Sabbath!

In v 11 we find something very interesting. Also, that they had to cut that premier sheaf for a Wave Offering before they could eat the bread. Isn't that what it said in Lev. 23?

Verse 11: "And they ate of the new grain of the land on the next day after the Passover…"

{transcriber's note: Fred had previously corrected the word 'old grain' to 'new grain'; it was a new harvest of grain planted in the previous fall planting.}

If the Passover is on the weekly Sabbath, what's the next day? The first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread!

On the Passover they ate manna, because they couldn't eat any bread or new grain until the Wave Sheaf Offering! Isn't that what God said? Yes!

Verse 11: "And they ate of the new grain of the land…"

Why? Because when they came and conquered it on the east side of the Jordan, and that there were grain fields everywhere over there, that's beautiful land. It was the whole climatology at that time was different than it is today. There were fields and fields and fields of grain, and they had storage bins. When they conquered the land, that all became theirs! Even though that all became theirs, they couldn't eat of it until the Wave Sheaf Offering!

Verse 11: "And they ate of the new grain of the land on the next day after the Passover, on the very self-same day they ate unleavened cakes and new grain in the same day." That shows:

  • the labor necessary for keeping the Passover
  • the labor necessary for keeping the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread

took precedence, so the days could be fulfilled properly:

  • When did they cut that first premiere sheaf?

Well, the way that it is explained later by, Edersheim, that they would look and wait for the sun to go down on the Passover Day, and then they would cut that premiere sheaf!

Then they would take and lay it up alongside the altar. Then in the morning, they would wave that Wave Sheaf Offering.

When the Passover is not on the weekly Sabbath, then you have like in the week that Jesus was crucified:

  • Passover on a Wednesday
  • first day of Unleavened Bread on a Thursday
  • preparation on a Friday
  • weekly Sabbath
  • the Wave Sheaf Offering

But this one, because the Passover was on the Sabbath, it's all kaleidoscope together here.

So, they ate unleavened cakes and roasted new grain on the same day.

Verse 12 becomes important, because IF it is as Grabbe says, the Wave Sheaf Offering couldn't be waved until after the seventh day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread.

Verse 12: "And the manna stopped on the next day after they had eaten the grain of the land."

So, if the manna stopped on the 16th, and they couldn't eat anything until the Wave Sheaf Offering, if it were to be waved after the next coming Sabbath, which is also the seventh day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread; they had nothing to eat. They had no manna.

Well, let's read those verses again so we get it straight; so the flow is correct. And this is, with those two commands that we read, Lev. 23:

  • when you come into the land
  • the wave sheaf offering

That doesn't apply at any other time! But the Wave Sheaf Offering is the same. It doesn't apply at any other time. But the Wave Sheaf Offering after that applies whenever it comes.

Verse 11: "And they ate of the new grain of the land on the next day after the Passover…"—which was on a Sunday! First day of the week. First day of Unleavened Bread, and roasted new grain in the same day.

Now, that tells you that whatever was necessary to observe:

  • the Passover, which was on the Sabbath
  • whatever was necessary on the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which was the Holy Day

fall under the category of no servile work, but necessary work to keep the days! I hope that clears it up.

Verse 12: "And the manna stopped on the next day after they had eaten the grain of the land…." So, you had the:

  • 14th—Passover
  • 15th—first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread
  • 16th—no manna

Because they had all the old grain they had in storage, and they could go out and they could harvest the new grain right there; no problem! Whatever new grain they had to harvest so that they could keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread and so forth. There it was.

I hope that really clears it up so that everybody understands. That's why it is so critical that we rightly divide the Word of God! We don't bring our own ideas into it!

We're living in a time when there are more false prophets outside the Church in the so-called 'Christian world,' and YouTube is full of them! You have all the religious channels, you have everyone speculating on everything, and different ones being 'authorities.' When they don't go to the Scripture and use those markers of Scripture and what the Scripture tells us, then they get it all wrong!

Now, same way with what we just read here. This is very clear what they did. And since they could do whatever is necessary to keep the Passover, whatever is necessary for the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, they could do.

That should settle the issue if people are willing to believe the Truth. This is why we always have to believe the Truth. I won't belabor the problem anymore. I think we've thoroughly covered it.

We will pick up next week about the seven Churches in Rev. 2 and 3, and what happened to them? We'll also answer the question about what it mean to be 'born again'? Just remember this: As long as you're in the flesh, you're NOT born again! That's the key.

Well, I hope this helps everyone understand. I've got a whole mess of other Scriptures that we can have here. But we'll save those for next week when we see about the seven Churches and how that applies to us today and what is happening in the world!
