The First and the Second Beast of Revelation 13
We will look at prophecy being fulfilled today and how it has come about. We’ll look at some things that are very important in the way that they are being fulfilled right before our eyes.
Now, a little over a week ago, one of the most important events happened toward the fulfilling of the prophecy that all the world’s religions will come together! We find that in Rev. 13.
We know this there are two aspects to the coming world government and religion, and here is the power behind it.

remember that he comes as an ‘angel of light’
He doesn’t come and stand right before the world leaders and say, ‘I’m Satan the devil and I’m going to lead you into total destruction.’ He comes and says, ‘I’m going to help you with world peace.’ And we’ll talk a little bit about world peace because we’ve heard a lot of it recently in the news. Let’s, first of all, look at the power behind it:
Revelation 12:9 “...the Devil and Satan, who is deceiving... [present tense participle] ...the whole world...”
Now, that doesn’t mean a little part here and a little part there; that means the whole world. Because we’re going to see that these events will be worldwide events with many parts leading up to it.
Men will think that at last, ‘we can solve our problems; at last, we can have world peace.’
Revelation 13:4—here’s the whole deception of the world: “And they worshiped the dragon...” That’s Satan the devil!
A lot of people don’t think they’re worshiping Satan the devil:
Catholics don’t think that, but they are
The Buddhists don’t think that, but they are
The Muslims don’t think that, but they are
Protestants don’t think that, but they are
Verse 4: “And they worshiped the dragon, who gave his authority to the Beast...”
Remember what Satan told Jesus in his temptation? I want you to let this burn in your mind and think about it all the time. There are still people today who have been in the Church for decades and decades and decades who are willing to follow a false doctrine rather than the Truth of God!
We’ve covered that, and I’m not going to get into it. What was the first thing that Jesus told Satan the devil? And this is the first thing that we need to understand for our lives:
what we need to do
how we need to live
what we need to understand
After being tempted by Satan to change the stones to bread, Jesus said, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God!
And for all of those of you who think that the only thing we need is the New Testament, guess what? Jesus quoted Deut. 8!
Are those words salvational for us today? Of course! What else did Jesus say?
The most important thing He said on the night that He was arrested, and this is something we need to really understand:
John 14:6: “...‘I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.’”
Do you understand what that says? Combine those two things together with the next one
1-Thessalonians 5:21: “Prove all things. Hold fast to that which is good.” How do you prove it?
by comparing Scripture with Scripture
by loving God
by obeying God
by worshiping Him
by praying to the Father and Christ our Intercessor
You’ve got to remember that. because the sweetest, greatest temptations from Satan the devil are just on the horizon.
With this great fulfillment that happened a little over a week ago, the King of England, the head of the Church of England, and his wife Camilla, traveled to the Vatican to be with the pope, and re-establish relations with the Church of England, which separated a little over 500, maybe not quite 500 years ago, from the Catholics.
Think about how powerful that this meeting really was. It was the conquest of the Church of England and the government of England by the Roman Catholic Church.
That was a great triumph of the Roman Catholic Church, and they didn’t do it by war. They didn’t do it by blood guts and martyrdom. They did it by dialogue and mutual understanding.
Now, we’ll talk a little bit more about that in relationship to what’s going to happen to the entire world.
Now, on the political scene, some people think that because I say Donald Trump is doing what he’s doing to help line up things for the end-time, that they think I’m saying he’s converted. I’m saying no such thing! Can God use leaders of nations to do His will and they acknowledge Him but they’re not converted? Absolutely!
Jer. 18—God is interested in all the nations and what it is at the end-time, and remember the prophecies for the Feast of Trumpets; that:
all nations are going to drink of the cup
all nations are going to come and fight Christ
Now, in the meantime, when there may be a little bit of peace that comes about, we have two things going on here in America.

Turning Point USA
Both of those things will work to help mitigate the heavy hand of God’s punishment against us for a while!
Now, through Turning Point USA, a lot of people will come, the young people will come, they will acknowledge God, they will line up their lives to be a little more in line with God’s way and not get involved in illicit sex before marriage and to love God and to love their husbands and wives and have children. That’s all well and good.
But that doesn’t mean they’re converted because conversion does not come until the individual answers God in their personal prayer and repentance and are baptized with full immersion in water and receive laying on of hands and, as we will see a little later, live according to the Word of God!
Not just a little of it here and a little of it there. That may improve your life temporarily, but that’s not conversion.
Let’s see what God does. This is active, ongoing, all the time.
Who controls the weather?
Who controls everything on earth?
Even though Satan has temporary possession of it, God does! Notice what he says here.
And he told Jeremiah to go down to the potter’s house and you watch what he’s doing and see what he’s doing and the potter can make whatever he wants out of the clay. So here’s the lesson:
Verse 6: “‘O house of Israel, can I not do with you even as this potter?’ says the LORD. ‘Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hands, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel. If at any time I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck it up and to pull it down, and to destroy it” (vs 6-7).
Now, eventually, America is going to go into captivity. probably starting with captivity at home and then deportation from that.
Verse 7: “If at any time I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck it up and to pull it down, and to destroy it; if that nation, against whom I have spoken, will turn from their evil...” (vs 7-8).
Did that not happen with Jonah? Yes, it did! Jonah preached. Even the king took off all of his royal garbs and put on sackcloth and ashes and prayed to God, issued a decree that all the Ninevites should quit all of their evil.
Was he converted? No!
Did that spare the nation? Yes!
Were the people converted? No!
So you see, God does a lot of things that are not hinged on conversion. Conversion is for the Church. Conversion is for every one of those who have been baptized and received the Holy Spirit of God. And God holds a higher standard for us!
Verse 8: “‘IF that nation, against whom I have spoken, will turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do to them. And IF at any time I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build it and to plant it; IF it does evil in My sight, that it not obey My voice, then I will repent of the good with which I said I would do them good. Now, therefore, speak to the men of Judah, and to the people of Jerusalem, saying, “Thus says the LORD, ‘Behold, I am forming evil against you, and devising a plan against you. Return now, each one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good’”’” (vs 8-11).
So, we see some of that going on today! None of this that I just read means they’re converted. Let’s look at another example.
Daniel 2—King Nebuchadnezzar:
Did God deal with him? Yes, he did!
Did God give him a dream? Yes, he did!
God gave the understanding of the dream to Daniel to tell to him. So, here’s King Nebuchadnezzar, that great statue, starting out with a head of gold and all the way down to the return of Christ, was made known to the king; the outline of it.
Was Nebuchadnezzar ever converted? No!
Did he acknowledge God? Yes, he did, and even a little more than that!
So, Daniel told Nebuchadnezzar this: after the king said, can you tell me my dream and the interpretation of it?
Daniel 2:20: “Daniel answered and said, ‘Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are His. And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and sets up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding. He reveals the deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and the Light dwells with Him’” (vs 20-22).
So, then he thanked God that the answer was given to him.
Verse 24: “Therefore, Daniel went in to Arioch... [who was the king’s agent over all of the young Jewish men] ...Therefore, Daniel went in to Arioch, whom the king had chosen to destroy the wise men of Babylon. He went and said this to him: ‘Do not destroy the wise men of Babylon. Bring me in before the king, and I will declare the interpretation to the king.’ Then Arioch quickly brought Daniel in before the king, and said this to him, ‘I have found a man of the captives of Judah who will make the interpretation known to the king’” (vs 24-25).
Verse 26: “The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, ‘Are you able to make known to me the dream which I have seen and its interpretation?’ Daniel answered before the king and said, ‘The secret which the king has demanded cannot be shown to the king by the wise men, the enchanters, the astrologers or the magicians. But there is a God in heaven Who reveals secrets and makes known to King Nebuchadnezzar’” (vs 26-28).
God sent the dream! That’s important to understand. Now, let me just tell you this: If you want a real education of what Donald Trump and his family went through, to be able to do what they’re doing now, you get the book by Eric Trump, Under Siege! You read that book and you ask the question: Would I be able to endure all of that?
all of those subpoenas
all of the threats against his life
all the attempted assassinations
Yet, he’s doing what God wants him to do because God has put it in his heart to do it. But that doesn’t mean he’s converted. Does he acknowledge God? Yes, he does.
Verse 28: “But there is a God in heaven Who reveals secrets...”
Then he says, here’s the vision, here’s the interpretation of it. He explained it all starting out with the head of gold and down to the feet and ten toes of clay and iron and showing the return of Christ.
What did Nebuchadnezzar do? Here’s how he responded! Now understand this: King Nebuchadnezzar was never converted!
We need to understand that God is going to take care of all of the things of prophecy with whomever He’s going to use for whatever He’s going to use His way.
How much those of us in the Churches of God will have part in that? We do not know! But we have to:
yield to God
to do His will
to serve Him
to pray
to study
to produce
to show the brethren
to teach the Word of God
All of those that answer the call of God and are baptized will be converted!
But Nebuchadnezzar was not! But I want to show you something else, too.
Verse 46: “Then King Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face and worshiped Daniel, and he commanded to offer an offering and sweet incense to him. The king answered Daniel and said, ‘It is true that your God is the God of gods, and the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secret.’ Then the king made Daniel great, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over all the province of Babylon, and chief of the prefects over all the wise men of Babylon” (vs 46-48).
Let’s come to Dan. 4, because this becomes very interesting indeed. Let’s see what we have right here in the book of Daniel, a very interesting part of the Bible. Now, let’s understand who wrote this. And what was written here carries down all the way to Babylon the great in the book of Revelation.
Let’s read it. Since he was the head of gold, who wrote this? Nebuchadnezzar wrote the fourth chapter of the book of Daniel! Very interesting!
Daniel 4:1: “Nebuchadnezzar the king, to ALL people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth: ‘Peace be multiplied to you. It seemed good to me to declare the signs and wonders that the Most High God has done for me. How great are His signs! And how mighty are His wonders! His Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom, and His dominion is from generation to generation’” (vs 1-3).
So what happened? Since he wasn’t converted, he got all lifted up in his vanity, and one day stood out there and looked at great Babylon, and he said, Look at great Babylon that I have built.’
He didn’t give God any credit! So what happened? he was struck dumb and forced to go eat grass-like cattle for seven years because his vanity got carried away with him.
Don’t forget that, because any time a leader gets carried away with their vanity, God can take care of them. Any time a minister or elder gets carried away in his vanity and egotism—like Weinland and his wife, whom he proclaimed to be the two witnesses—God will take care of you!
Because God is in charge over the whole world and every individual!
Now let’s see what happened after the seven years. Let’s see what Nebuchadnezzar did, what he said. Daniel probably edited it for what we now have in the book of Daniel. But this is a lesson for us in all nations because what we read in Rev. 13, that ALL nations will worship the dragon.
Verse 34: “And at the end of the days, I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up my eyes to heaven... [his hair grew long, his nails grew like claws] ... and my understanding returned to me, and I blessed the Most High, and I praised and honored Him Who lives forever, for His dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom is from generation to generation. And all the inhabitants of the earth are counted as nothing; and He does according to His will in the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth. And none can stay His hand, or say to Him, ‘What are You doing?’ At that time my reason returned to me. And the glory of my kingdom, my majesty and splendor returned to me. And my advisers and my lords sought me out, and I was established in my kingdom, and surpassing greatness was added to me” (vs 34-36).
Nebuchadnezzar was never converted! So, if I mention things concerning Donald Trump by observation and see what’s being done and it looks like the hand of God that’s leading him to do it, don’t belittle it and say, ‘Well, he was never converted.’ That may be true. Stop right there.
How was your relationship with God? Huh?
What did God tell all of the disciples when they began thinking that evil things come upon people because of evil doing? Well, it does, but let’s come to Luke 13 and read it! This is for us today, and we need to understand it.
Luke 13:1: “Now, at the same time, there were present some who were telling Him about the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
Now, that’s a terrible thing! Slit their throats, open up their guts, let the blood be poured out upon the altar.
Verse 2: “And Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Do you suppose that these Galileans were sinners above all Galileans, because they suffered such things? No, I tell you; but if you do not repent, you shall all likewise perish” (vs 2-3).
I call your attention to this fact, that in the midst of the most awful times described in the book of Revelation, what is the most important phrase that is repeated three times? In spite of all that they have done, they didn’t repent!
That’s a lesson for us! IF we come along and we are misjudging everybody and complaining about things that should not be complained about and wondering why God does not do this, that, or the other thing, remember what Jesus said:
Verse 3“No, I tell you; but if you do not repent, you shall all likewise perish. Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell, and killed them, do you suppose that these were debtors above all men who dwelt in Jerusalem? No, I tell you; but IF you do not repent, you shall all likewise perish” (vs 4-5).
That’s a message to the Church! What does God say to the seven Churches? I know your works, repent and do the first works, I know your false doctrines!
‘IF you don’t change and repent of those, I’m going to make war against you.’ I know those who have compromised with Jezebel and IF they don’t repent, I’m going to kill her children with death.’
For those who are lazy and fiddle around and don’t do what they should do and do the complete works of God, He says, ‘Do the things you need to do and I won’t blot your name out of the Book of Life.’
All of that’s important. There are a lot of things to happen. There are a lot of things that are going to take place. And we’ll cover some of those here a little later.
But what we all need to understand is that we have got to stay close to God! We’re living in a time when the temptations will be manifoldly more aggressive against us.
Let’s look at the second beast, very interesting indeed.
FIRST BEAST:
Revelation 13:5: “And a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies was given to him; and authority was given to him to continue for forty-two months.... [that’s 3-1/2 years] ...And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, and His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. And he was given power to make war against the saints, and to overcome them...” (vs 5-7).
Now, what are you going to do when the going gets tough IF you can’t handle some strong words against rejecting the Truth of God by those who have been in the church for decades? And then you say, ‘Fred, was angry.’ What do you expect me to do? Hugs and kisses?
you better look at your own life
you better look at your own behavior
you better look at what you are doing
Because Satan’s going to make war against us! IF you can’t take a little heat when the going gets tough, how are you going to handle it when they’re coming after you to kill you?
SECOND BEAST
Verse 11: “And I saw another beast rising out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, but spoke like a dragon; and he exercises all the authority of the first beast before him; and he causes the earth and those who dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.”
Now, there has been a movement for decades and decades. We saw part of a great fulfillment of that movement with King Charles and his wife sitting in front of the pope in submission to the Roman Catholic Church.
And the pope undoubtedly will be the great False Prophet! Now, they’ve been working for decades behind the scenes to make it happen. We can look and see that that will probably be instrumental in helping bring in the final governmental beast at the end. But here is what has been happening.

Did you know that for decades that the Roman Catholic Church has had dialogues and talks with religions, the different religions of the world? Because it will be a key thing in bringing peace:

That spiritual power will be Satan the devil for the coming one world religion and one world government!
Through mutual cooperation, the world’s races and nations can begin to build a peaceful family of mankind centered upon the fatherhood of our one common heavenly parent, whether he is called ‘Allah’ or ‘God’ or ‘cosmic ultimate reality.’
The religions presented in this book include Christian, Jainism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Confucianism, Jainism, Sikhism, Baha faith, Church of Jesus Christ, the Latter-day Saints, Zoroastrianism, also featured our oral traditions of various primitive religions of Africa, Native America, Asia, and Oceania, together, along with their recorded prayers and Proverbs.
I think we will see a great movement for religions coming together, especially since the Church of England has surrendered itself to the pope, and will probably be instrumental in bringing world leaders together to settle the problems that are there.
What’s going to happen?
How is all of this going to work out?
Now, understand this: These big, major events of the world that will unfold—and we will see them, they’re not 50 years off or more—but the background in building toward it has been decades and decades and decades.
FIRST SEAL
Revelation 6:1: “And I looked when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures say, like the sound of thunder, ‘Come and see.’ And I looked, and behold, there was a white horse; and the one who was sitting on it had a bow, and a crown was given to him...” (vs 1-2).
Notice, no arrows; a white horse. This is the False Prophet that we read of in Rev. 13 who is going to bring all religions together. They have the foundation for it already and they’ve been decades building it. But the sudden revival of it will come quickly.
“...and he went out conquering, and to conquer” (v 2).
SECOND SEAL
Now, let’s read the second one because there’s one phrase which tells us where all of these things are leading right now.
Verse 3: “And when He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, ‘Come and see.’ And another horse went out that was red; and power was given to the one sitting on it to take peace from the earth...” (vs 3-4).
You can’t take peace from the earth unless there is peace on the earth! So, that’s where all of these things are leading to. That’s why I’ve said that Donald Trump is doing the will of God to set things up for the last times, and he is!
What is the one key factor that we can look for that’s going to happen? And we might even see the beginning of it not too far down the road? That is the building of the third temple in Jerusalem!
That’s what the war with Hamas is all about. That’s what the peace with all of the Arab nations is all about. Because it says clearly in Matt. 24 that the Great Tribulation will not begin until you see the abomination of desolation standing in the Holy Place!
That means a third temple has to be built, and the world will rejoice, the Jews will rejoice and everyone will say this is a time of great peace on the earth. Then the great world leader will come on and everyone will hail him as wonderful. The pope will be there to be his assistant, and then they will make images to the Beast because he’s such a popular thing and he’s ‘God’ on earth!
Let’s read it here, 2-Thess. 2. We’ve read this how many how many, how many times? It’s going to be the reality that maybe we will even see. WHEN that takes place as Jesus said, THEN shall Great Tribulation come!
We will look at this see this is why the most important thing that we can be doing as individuals, and collectively as the various Churches of God, is to draw close to God:
in prayer in study in knowledge
in understanding
and IF we have the opportunities to preach the Gospel to the world and God calls more people, that’s fine, we need to do that with every bit of fiber that we can do that.
That’s why God is inspired that we have the things that we have!

Before we get to 2-Thess 2, let’s come to Rev. 13, first. We looked at the second Beast, the one that looks like a lamb but speaks like a dragon, and he works hand in glove with the Beast.
Revelation 13:12: “And he exercises all the authority of the first beast before him...”
The first Beast is the government, world government, that will come, and it’s going to be brought in because of the cooperation of all the religions together! Then he will have the power of Satan behind him, and the pope then will have also the power of miracles. So this is going to be a grand sweeping thing that will sweep the world. It’s not going to be a slow thing that will take place because all the background will be, have already been completed.
So the second Beast, v 13: “...performs great wonders, so that he even causes fire to come down to the earth from heaven in the sight of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by means of the wonders that were given to him to perform in the sight of the Beast...” (vs 13-14).
So, this is going to be a joint thing which will happen. It’ll just be almost a miraculous thing that will take place. What they’re going to do is:
“...saying to those who dwell on the earth that they should make an image for the Beast... [that’s the first beast] ... which had the wound by the sword, yet, was alive. And he was given power to give a satanic spirit to the image of the Beast... [that actually means put in a satanic spirit] ... so that the image of the Beast also could speak; and he causes everyone who will not worship the image of the Beast to be killed” (vs 14-15).
So that’s going to be a time and trial against the whole Church like I already brought out. So, that image will speak because of his satanic spirit, and it causes everyone who will not worship the image of the Beast to be killed.
Verse 16: “16: And he causes ALL...”
This system has to be in place all ready to go, and then it is enforced. This system, we know with the understanding that we have, will be led by AI all around the world! AI will be the catalyst, which will bring all people into obedience, into the world government, and the world religion. It will be almost a miraculous thing, which it will be! And the world will hardly believe it. They’ll rejoice and say, ‘Look, we can solve our problems.’ But not so fast! Here’s the system that is there.
The Seventh-Day Adventists believe that the mark of the Beast is Sunday-keeping. That is absolutely false! They believe that the Beast that goes into the temple will be the pope; that likewise is absolutely false! They believe that Ellen G. White was a prophetess, and that is absolutely false!
I’ve tried working with them to get them to repent, but they just won’t do it.
Verse 16: “And he causes ALL the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the bond, to receive a mark in their right hands, or in their foreheads.”
Now, the Greek for mark is ‘charagma’, which is also used for the stamping of an image on coins. So it is a thing that will be put upon people in the right hand or in the forehead
Verse 17: “So that no one may have the ability to buy and sell unless he has the mark, or the name of the Beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let the one who has understanding count the number of the Beast; for it is a man’s number, and his number is 666” (vs 17-18). ‘666’ means the perfection of man’s system under Satan the devil!
How close are we to this? You read any reports on AI, you read any reports on what they want to do digitally, and it is absolutely demonic and satanic! Even AI today, let loose on teens, is causing a lot of them to commit suicide, because they’re not told that Satan the devil is also behind all of this to bring in what he wants to bring in!
This is going to come as a tremendous revelation to the world. ALL will cooperate or you won’t have any digital identification to do anything. That’s what’s going to come!
When that is installed, then the first Beast will be proclaimed as God!
2-Thessalonians 2:1: “Now, we beseech you, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ...”
The whole book of Revelation is the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ!
“...and our gathering together to Him... [that’s the resurrection] ...that you not be quickly shaken in mind, nor be troubled—neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by epistle, as if from us, saying that the day of Christ is present” (vs 1-2). That’s what they speak of with the new age!
Verse 3: “Do not let anyone deceive you by any means because that day will not come unless the apostasy...”—the great rebellion and turning away from God to worship Satan the devil and to worship the Beast!
“...unless the apostasy shall come first, and the man of sin shall be revealed—the son of perdition” (v 3).
So, the religion is getting together and they’re going to do it. Let me just read you how they’re going to do it to get it together so that the power of the first Beast will come to fruition.
Here’s what the Catholic Church has been doing for decades. (unknown source)
Ecumenism in the Catholic Church in its effort to promote unity among all Christian denominations began formally with the Second Vatican Council in 1962-65.
Clear back then, I mentioned it, that this looks like the beginning of the first seal. All of this is part of that first seal.
The Catholic Church claims to be the one true church, but recognizes elements of truth and sanctification in other Christian communities
and it just brought in the Church of England!
It encourages dialogue, mutual understanding, and cooperation with other Christians and other religions
the Buddhists, the Hindus
The goal is a visible unity under shared belief, sacraments, and not uniformly or compromise of doctrine. The pope remained seen as the sign of full unity.
Now, think about that for just a minute. Remember when Pope Francis died? Did you see any of the things taking place there in the Vatican? All the leaders of the world were gathered. All the religious leaders of the world were gathered. Even the Eastern Orthodox helped with the ceremony and burial of Francis.
The goal is visible unity under shared faith, sacraments, not uniformity in doctrine.
Scripturally, the Church will cite John 17:21, that all may be one.
But the Catholic Church’s interfaith dialogue with Hindus, with Buddhists, is part of the broader effort to promote peace, mutual understanding among all religions, not just Christians.
And they have been doing it for decades. Just like with King Charles III and his wife Camilla coming to the pope to pray with the pope, BOOM! It happened all of a sudden!
So, likewise, it’s going to be the same thing here. All the religions will recognize each other. They already have their Bible, World Scripture. They already have their understanding. Now, they’re just waiting for the great world leader, the Beast, the first one of Rev. 13, to come on the scene. He’s given what power over all nations. Then the second Beast is going to help enforce it by making sure that everyone takes the Mark of the Beast.
Now, then, Paul continues writing about what’s going to happen when that takes place. Because:
the temple will be built; that’s clear
he will come to Jerusalem
he will be accepted as God on earth to bring peace to the world
Everyone will be happy and rejoicing, but then the end begins to unfold rapidly!
Verse 4: “The one who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God... [that never happened before] ...or that is an object of worship; so that he comes into the Temple of God and sits down as God, proclaiming that he himself is God.”
What a thing that’s going to be! ALL will worship him, Satan possessed, Satan inspired!
Verse 5: “Do you not remember that when I was still with you, I told you these things? And now you understand what is holding him back in order for him to be revealed in his own set time” (vs 5-6).
Now, Christ is the One Who’s holding him back, because nothing’s going to be done until it comes from the Throne of God (Rev. 5-6), then the unleashing of everything in the book of Revelation.
Verse 7: “For the mystery of lawlessness... [that’s what it is. against God, every religion] ...is already working; only there is One Who is restraining at the present time until it arises out of the midst.” That’s how it will come!
Verse 8: “And then the lawless one will be revealed (whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth, and will destroy with the brightness of His coming)”—Rev. 19.
Christ and the saints come down to take over the world after being on that great Sea of Glass. And the first thing that is done is that the pope, who is the False Prophet, and the Beast, are thrown into the Lake of Fire and burned up. That’s what it’s talking about right here; the brightness of His coming.
Verse 9: “Even the one whose coming is according to the inner working of Satan...”—the Beast power; both of them are because of Satan!

second one to enforce the worship of him (looks like a lamb, speaks like a dragon)
What is this going to be?
“...with all power and signs and lying wonders... [remember all the miracles, calling fire down from heaven] ...and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in those who are perishing, because they did not receive the love of the Truth, so that they might be saved” (vs 9-10). Now that’s the key, important thing!
Do you love God?
Do you love Christ?
Do you love the Word of God?
Do you live by the Word of God?
Do you study the Word of God?
Are you having it written in your heart and in your mind that you can be prepared?
We better because these things are going to come all of a sudden! There’s not going to be a time of ‘let me go back and start again.’ No! It’s going to come! Since they don’t have the love of the Truth, here’s what’s going to happen:
Verse 11: “And for this cause God will send upon them a powerful deception that will cause them to believe the lie.” That’s what all of this is about!
That’s what the Catholic Church is doing. That’s what Donald Trump is helping to form. We don’t know what’s eventually going to happen to Him. We’ll just have to wait and see. but the King of the North has to be the one who is the governmental Beast! The Beast that looks like a lamb and has two horns, but speaks like a dragon, is the False Prophet!
We don’t know how it’s going to work with all of these others who participate in bringing this about, but they are also going to suffer from the things that will take place that we find in the book of Revelation.
Verse 11: “And for this cause God will send upon them a powerful deception that will cause them to believe the lie, so that ALL may be judged who did not believe the Truth...” (vs 11-12). What is the Truth?
the Word of God is the Truth
the Law of God is the Truth
the Spirit of God is the Truth
Christ is the Truth
“...but who took pleasure in unrighteousness” (v 12).
Now then, let’s come back and see what the world is going to be doing leading up to this. Let’s come to Prov. 15. Very interesting, book of Proverbs, maybe you never thought of it as being also prophetic.
Proverbs 15:3: “The eyes of the LORD are in every place...”
Now, that’s an interesting phrase, isn’t it? How is that? That’s by the seven spirits who are the seven eyes of God sent forth in all the earth trying to find those who are seeking God!
“...beholding the evil and the good. A wholesome tongue is a Tree of Life, but perverseness in it crushes the spirit” (vs 3-4).
I want to show you something that is absolutely amazing, indeed!
Psalm 1, the very first Psa. This is quite a Psa. even though it’s really short. I want you to think about it. This tells you the whole purpose of the Bible! This one Psalm is prophetic to the last chapter of Revelation. Remember what we just read there in Prov. 15:4: “...a Tree of Life...”
Psalm 1:1: “Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of the scornful.” Whole warning about life in the world!
Verse 2: “But his delight is in the Law of the LORD...”
Protestants say that if you keep the Law, ‘you’re trying to earn your salvation.’ No, they miss the whole point. Keeping the Law confirms our conversion and confirms our love of God! We receive salvation through faith and grace! That’s another whole detailed subject. But here it is.
“...and in His Law does he meditate day and night” (v 2). That’s what we do with the Word of God!
Where’s the Word of God to be written? In our heart and in our mind!
What are our heart and mind? That’s day and night!
Do we think on it all the time?
Do we look at it all the time?
Do we study it?
Verse 3: “And he shall be like a tree planted by the streams of water... [whether converted or unconverted] ...that brings forth its fruit in its season, and its leaf shall not wither, and all that he does shall prosper” (v 3).
Verse 4: “The wicked are not so, but they are like chaff, which the wind drives away. Therefore, the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; for the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish” (vs 4-6).
The whole story of the Bible in that one verse!
Now remember ‘the tree’; remember ‘by the river.’ We’ll get back to Prov. 15 in just a bit. Come to Rev. 22. Let me show you what the whole meaning of the Bible from the beginning to the end really is, and how it all fits together. There’s no such a thing that the Law was done away! That’s like saying the heaven and earth have perished!
Revelation 22:1: “Then he showed me a pure river of the Water of Life...”
Didn’t it talk about ‘a Tree’?
Didn’t it talk about ‘Life’/
back there in the very first Psalm!
“...clear as crystal, flowing out from the Throne of God and of the Lamb.... [Pure Truth! Pure Spirit of God! ....And in the middle of the street, and on this side and that side of the river, was the Tree of Life...” (vs 1-2).
Didn’t it talk about a tree back there in Psa. 1? Yes, indeed!
Didn’t it talk about the tree of life in Prov. 15? Yes!
“...producing twelve manner of fruits, each month yielding its fruit; and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse; and the Throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and His servants shall serve Him, and they shall see His face; and His name is in their foreheads” (vs 2-4).
Verse 14: “Blessed are those who keep His Commandments...”
What did it say in Psa. 1? Blessed are those who meditate in the Law of God day and night!
Isn’t that the same thing in Rev. 22? Yes!
Verse 14: “Blessed are those who keep His commandments, that they may have the right to eat of the Tree of Life...”
we’re to be like a tree
we’re to bring forth fruit
“...and may enter by the gates into the city. But excluded... [Didn’t it tell us that in Psa. 1? The wicked are not so] ...are dogs, and sorcerers, and fornicators, and murderers, and idolaters, and everyone who loves and devises a lie” (vs 14-15).
Everything in this report that the Catholic Church is doing to bring religions together is fostering the glamorous lie of Satan’s deception! Excluded!
So, with that, don’t let anyone tell you that you don’t have to study the Old Testament. Look at what is actually there.
Proverbs 15:4: “A wholesome tongue is a Tree of Life, but perverseness in it crushes the spirit.
Isn’t that interesting? How many people feel crushed and pushed aside today?
Verse 5: “A fool despises his father’s instruction, but he who listens to correction is prudent.”
How many are willing to be corrected today? Look at it. Look at this election in New York. Look at how the Democrats are acting. They are acting completely satanic and insane!
Verse 6: “In the house of the righteous is much treasure, but in the revenue of the wicked is trouble.”
Isn’t that what we have everywhere? Yes!
Verse 7: “The lips of the wise spread knowledge, but the heart of the fool is not so.”
That’s what we’re trying to do in preaching and teaching the brethren, preaching the Gospel, reaching out to new people.
Verse 8: “The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, but the prayer of the upright is His delight.”
Look at how it is in the world with all these wicked devices, but who is God looking to? Those who pray to him!
Verse 9: “The way of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD... [that’s what he sees going on down here in the world] ... but He loves him who pursues righteousness.”
Do you love God?
Do you love His Word?
Do you keep His Commandments?
Yes!
Verse 10: “There is grievous correction for him who forsakes the way; he who hates reproof shall die.”
Now you know why I got so strong concerning the difficulties that popped up. You cannot deny God and expect His blessing!
Here’s what to expect, v 11: “The grave and destruction are before the LORD—how much more the hearts of the children of men!” God knows!
Verse 12: “A scorner does not love one who corrects him, nor will he go unto the wise.”
Verse 28: “The heart of the righteous studies to answer...” That’s why we study the Word of God:
to know what it is
to know what it says
to rightly divide it
All of those things apply!
“...but the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things” (v 28). You know how that is!
All the wicked in the world, listen up! God is not with you!
Verse 29: “The LORD is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous.”
Mentions prayer twice! How important is prayer for us?
Verse 30: “The light of the eyes rejoices the heart; a good report makes the bones fat. The ear that hearkens to the reproof of life shall remain among the wise. He who refuses instruction despises his own soul, but he who hearkens to reproof gains understanding.... [this has to be the change]: ...The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom, and before honor is humility” (vs 30-33).
Prov. 16—because this is true, this is the way the world is:
you can see it in the news
you can see it in the reports
you can see it in the things like I have just read here
Proverbs 16:1: “The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, are from the LORD.”
God made you:
to think
to speak
to do to all of these things
you have to choose
is it right
is it true
is it good
is it Godly
OR is it evil and satanic?
Because here’s the problem, because ‘the mind is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked Who can know it?’’
Verse 2: “All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes....”
Everyone who spouts out false things believes they’re right even to the killing of those who are trying to enforce law and order. Don’t we see that today? Here is the solution, and we need to do this every day:
Verse 2: “All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes.... [here is the solution, and we need to do this every day]:...Commit your works unto the LORD...” (vs 2-3). Tie in Rev. 2 & 3
What did Jesus say of all of the Churches?
What did He say to them?
Did He say, ‘I know your faith’? No!
He said, ‘I know your works.’
Why? Because whatever you believe, those are your works!
Isn’t that true? Yes, indeed! “Commit your works unto the LORD... [notice what will happen]: ...and your thoughts shall be established.”
Look at how many women, you can tell by the advertisements that are on, need some sort of medical thing so that they don’t feel depressed and they can focus on things. The reason why is that they do not understand why they’re a woman and what a woman is for.
Verse 3: “Commit your works unto the LORD, and your thoughts shall be established.”
Now then, reverse it. If you’re a scatter brain and don’t know anything, that’s because you haven’t committed your works to the Lord!
Verse 4: “The LORD has made all for His own purpose; yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.”
That’s what we’re seeing unfolding every day. Can you imagine this? As you watch the news today, the book of Proverbs is absolutely working, right or wrong, good or evil.
Verse 5: “Everyone who is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD...”
Think about that in relationship to what we read in:
Revelation 13
2-Thessalonians 2
Luke 13
“...though joined hand in hand, he shall not be unpunished. By mercy and Truth iniquity is purged...”—that’s repentance! (vs 5-6).
What do we think?
How do we view things?
Do we understand the Word of God?
Do we let it lead us in our thoughts?
Do we have prayers to God
to show us
to teach us
to lead us
to guide us
Is that what we have looking at the world and all the evil that is out there?
Verse 6: “By mercy and Truth iniquity is purged, and by the fear of the LORD men turn away from evil. When a man’s ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him” (vs 6-7).
Verse 21: “The wise in heart shall be called prudent, and the sweetness of the lips increases learning. Understanding is a fountain of life to him who has it, but the instruction of fools is folly” (vs 21-22).
Think about that in relationship to right and wrong concerning Truth and error in doctrine and teachings.
Verse 23: “The heart of the wise teaches his mouth and adds persuasiveness to his lips. Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. There is a way that seems right to a man...” (vs 23-25).
to a woman
to a boy/to a girl, regardless of age
It seems right! And remember, the pleasures of sin for a season always lead to disaster, though you think you have a right to do it.
Verse 25: “There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end thereof is the way of death.”
So this just shows how we need to understand prophecy as we’re looking at it and viewing it. That there are things that are operating behind the scenes that will bring some of them suddenly to the fore, and it will be astonishing indeed!
Then we see the deception of Satan the devil taking over the whole world, and we can see it every day happening.
One final thought on all the violence and everything happening just here in America. Remember: God is still judging us for the 80 million murders of abortion! He is not yet finished! So we better all get right with God. Anyone out there who doesn’t know anything about God, you better start finding out before it’s too late!
