Greetings, everyone! Welcome to Sabbath Services!

Well, it's been quite a week, everything that's been going on, and we find a Scripture that defines this. It's very interesting, because everything has been hidden for a long, long time. A lot of people have known what's been going on politically, but here is the Scripture.

Let's see what the Word of God has to say about things like this. let's see how it's going to happen. They want to try and get rid of Biden, but Biden says he's not going. Let's see if we can throw a Biblical light on what's going on.

Mark 4:22: "For there is nothing hidden that shall not be made manifest…"

Now, it's not going to be all made manifest until later, but look at how much is coming out now.

"…nor has any secret thing taken place, but that it should come to light" (v 22).

So, it will always happen, one way or the other, sooner or later. That applies to everything, everywhere, in all circumstances:

  • individual life
  • family life
  • community life
  • whether it's a state
  • whether it's a nation,
  • whether it's the world

Satan is the great deceiver and deceiving the whole world, but everything about him is going to come to light and he is going to pay the penalty because he will not repent!

Likewise, with all the doctrines of the churches! IF the churches would truly preach the Word of God as they profess that they do, THEN things would be entirely different.

What we are seeing the way that it is, just like had been brought out in several of the messages we have heard recently from the other elders, is that the way of man—he does not know what he's going to do or how he's going to do it—seems right, but the ends thereof are the ways of death!

You can take that and apply that in many different ways to many different situations, because the Word of God is always true!

Headlines:

I suppose that now that Putin's president of the Ukraine and Zelensky's the premier of Russia (according to Joe Biden) and Biden has said that Trump is 'his vice-president. So, you look at all the mixed up things.

While all of this is going on, there are still things taking place coming closer and closer to the mark of the beast! So, here's a wake-up call for some people with the mark of the beast.

Here's a man who went to watch a ball game at Yankee Stadium and he wanted to buy some refreshments. Well they said they don't take cash, but you can go over to this ATM machine and you can get a debit card. He used his credit card to get a debit card and he drew down 200, but it only paid him $197.50. The $3.50 was for a fee.

So with the mark of the beast coming, the banks are going to be making a lot of money hand over fist.

Let's see why even those who profess to be Christian and even the Seventh-Day Adventist say that Sunday-keeping is the mark of the beast. In fact, years ago that's exactly one of the booklets that Worldwide Church of God had:

The Mark of the Beast {https://www.hwalibrary.com/cgi-bin/get/hwa.cgi?action=booklets&byGraphicList=byList}

I remember reading it; it was one of the first booklets that I read. Here's what they base it on—Exo. 31—because there are some Churches of God, and I have a report on it, which I'm going to discuss with the conference tomorrow. But many of them are not even preaching or warning about the coming mark of the beast. They equate it this way, beginning with Exo. 31.

Here's how they say that the mark of the beast is here and that this digital cash and money transfer that's coming is not the mark of the beast. Here's why.

Exodus 31:12: "And the LORD spoke to Moses saying, 'Speak also to the children of Israel, saying, "Truly you shall keep My Sabbaths, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations to know that I am the LORD Who sanctifies you"'" (vs 12-13).

  • Sabbath-keeping is a sign (of God's people)
  • the mark of the beast is a sign of the beast

Therefore, since the day they keep is Sunday, and in fact they're trying to enforce it in Europe today. So, they come back to Rev. 13. Does this apply to religious people only?

We're going to see that never in the whole history of mankind have we ever had a situation where everyone must buy and sell. You think about it, I mentioned before:

  • How many have gardens?
  • How many know what to do?
  • How many know how to can?

Rev. 13—this is the first beast the great political power, along with the second beast, which is the great one-world religion.

Revelation 13:16: "And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the bond, to receive a mark in their right hands, or in their foreheads."

If you keep Sabbath, that's a sign. Is it a mark on your hand or a mark on your forehead? Oh, they point out to Ezek. 9 that the angel went and put the mark on the forehead of those who were moaning and groaning for the sins of Israel. But that's not what it says here in Rev. 16! It's not the children of Israel; it is:

"…he causes all… [the whole world!] …the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the bond, to receive a mark in their right hands, or in their foreheads so that no one may have the ability to buy and sell…" (vs 16-17). That means you have no power to buy or sell:

"…unless he has the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let the one who has understanding count the number of the beast; for it is a man's number, and his number is 666" (vs 17-18).

So, this is entirely different from a day of observance. This is a mark in the right hand or in the forehead! So, the question comes up: If I get a digital wallet, is that the mark of the beast? Not quite! If you get a digital wallet, that's not in your hand or in your forehead. But it will be the last step before the enforcement of the mark of the beast where you can't buy and you can't sell!

Now just this last week to show you how dependent that everything is on the on electricity. We had the whole Internet system around the Hollister area shut down; everything shut down:

  • no phones
  • no e-mails
  • no television
  • nothing

Think about how vulnerable that we really, really are. If there is an attack with an EMB—electrical magnetic bomb—that they explode in the air and it knocks out all the electricity everywhere.

Since everything is virtually run on electricity, no one can do anything. That's how it's going to be with the mark of the beast. You either have the mark or you:

  • can't buy
  • can't sell
  • can't go to the grocery store and buy what you need

Right at first there may be an underground network of gold and silver transactions going for a while, but sooner or later they will shut that down as well.

Follow along with that is the coming one-world government and how that's going to work. Klaus Schwab tells the elite followers that they must force humanity into a world ruled by A.I. and other dehumanizing technologies!

All of these things are building up, building up! Look at what is happening in Europe right now. They are moving more to the right and who knows what's going to happen with the election in America.

Could it be that if Donald Trump gets in, everything will look good for a while, but he's going to downscale the American involvement in NATO, and Europe is going to have to see that they're going to have to depend on themselves.

That all will fit into prophecies of the end-time, because there has to come a King of the North out of Europe. Along with that for the world religion:

Pope: All people should be free to choose and practice religion
{https://www.vaticannews.va/en/pope/news/2024-06/pope-every-human-being-should-be-free-to-choose-religion.html}

He didn't say which one.

Welcoming a delegation from the Mosque of the Italian city of Bologna, Pope Francis commends the friendship between Christians and Muslims and calls for all religions to be respected, free from proselytism and impediments.

"The world, especially at this moment in history, needs believers who are consistent and strongly committed to building and maintaining social and world peace"
—Deborah Castellano Lubov

All those things are fitting in with the prophecies at the end-time.

I got a report on the COVID deaths; they're up in the millions at the present time. Now, with the fighting of Hezbollah and Hamas over there in the Middle East, I look at it this way:

There has to be a third temple built, and that's what this war is all about; to get rid of Hamas because they can't have rockets and bombs being lobbed into the temple area all the time. That'll never work!

So, they have to get rid of Hamas. It's quite a thing that none of the other Arab countries want any of the Palestinians, because they are so hateful and so set on destroying everything in the world with all of the Jews so that they can take back that part of Palestine.

We'll have to see what happens with it. But I look at it this way. They are going to go ahead and finish the war because that's what God wants. That's what the Jews need to build the temple. However, the temple cannot be built until they rebuild Gaza. That will have to be the good faith gesture by the Jews, and they won't be able to build it (the temple) in a place that they should build it. God won't reveal that to them until the time comes.

That will be a great relief to the world because the Mosque of Omar, Al Aqsa Mosque, which sits on what they believe is the Temple Mount, which it isn't; that's the Roman Fort Antonia as we saw several weeks ago, when they discover where the temple should be built, then that will bring great relief to all the Muslims. The Jews are intent right now on destroying that Mosque of Omar and building the temple there.

But when they find the right place and begin to build there, that will bring a great deal of peace between the Muslims and the Jews, because the Jews will give up trying to destroy the Mosque of Omar. So, we can look for that.

One other thing on that is this: They have five red heifers that they got from Texas for the red heifer sacrifice for the cleansing ashes. That has to be a heifer, three years old, and it has to be only, it has to be never mated or functioned as a cow producing a lot of milk.

It has to be three years old. With all the things that have been going on, they've had a hard time figuring out where they're going to sacrifice that red heifer. They built an altar on the Mount of Olives where they proposed to do it around Passover time this year but weren't able to do it.

So, they have them all stored at Shiloh, and Shiloh was the place where the tabernacle was set up and it was there functioning 372 years before it was destroyed at that location. So, it's been proposed, maybe they can sacrifice them there.

Within the Jewish community there's a division where to sacrifice the red heifer. If they wait too long, guess what's going to happen? Those red heifers are going to be four-years-old and they can't use them.

So, watch the news for the red heifers and we'll see what happens there.

Q & A

Q#1Jude 9

Let's come to the Book of Jude, and here's the question was the mail in concerning one verse, the only verse in the Bible that shows this, which is found in Jude 9.

So the question is, he lists three other Scriptures and those three Scriptures are referenced, but 'I still do not see anything about the dispute over the body of Moses.'

Sometimes there's only one place where something is written about or mentioned, and that happens to be right here in Jude 9 where it says,

Jude 9: "But Michael the archangel, when he was personally taking issue with the devil, disputing about the body of Moses, did not presume to pronounce a reviling judgment against him, but said, 'The Lord Himself rebuke you!'"

So the question is: Why isn't it any other part of the Bible? Well the fact is we don't know! So, sometimes that's the way it turns out.

Q#2This has to do with the Parable of the Ten Virgins. Who are the wise and who are the foolish? It only gives us an indication of:

  • whether they're zealous or whether they're not zealous
  • whether they're faithful in keeping the teachings of Christ or not

Matthew 25:1: "Then shall the Kingdom of Heaven be compared to ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. The ones who were foolish took their lamps, but they did not take oil with them" (vs 1-3).

Now oil is a type of the Holy Spirit, the power of God. So, they don't have very much of the Spirit of God. Maybe the ones who were foolish, we will see, they have the Spirit of God with them. Maybe some of them have been baptized, we don't know. There are quite a few questions here with Matthew 25 that we don't know for sure.

Verse 4: "But the wise took oil in their vessels along with their lamps."

It's like I have a bottle of water here, they had extra oil to take. The lamps that they had were little handheld lamps that were shaped with a little lip on one side where they had a wick and that wick would go down into the cup of the lamp and they would have a string in there that they would light and it would pull the oil up and they would have light.

This is the kind of lamp we're talking about and they didn't take oil in the vessels.

Verse 4: "But the wise took oil in their vessels along with their lamps. Now, when the bridegroom was gone a long time, they all became drowsy and slept. But in the middle of the night there was a cry: 'Look, the bridegroom is coming! Go out to meet him.' Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps" (vs 4-7).

Isn't this true? People neglect what they should do! That's all a part of overcoming.

  • in order to remain faithful we have to overcome
  • in order to be truthful we have to get rid of lies
  • in order to love God we have to learn the love of God and apply that in our lives toward God and our love toward each other

All of those things are called the fruits of the Holy Spirit. So, apparently they did not have enough of the fruits of the Holy Spirit.

Verse 8: "And the foolish said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil, because our lamps are going out.' But the wise answered, saying, 'No, lest there not be enough for us and for you….'" (vs 8-9).

The truth is, no one can give the Holy Spirit to someone else. The Holy Spirit has to come from God!

"…But instead, go to those who sell, and buy for yourselves" (v 9).

That's just another way of saying prayer and study today. How important is prayer and study? Prayer and study is more important than anything that we can do on a daily basis, as well as, keeping the commandments of God and living by every word of God!

Verse 10: "And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast, and the door was shut."

So, there comes a time unless we wake up and do the things that we need to do, when we need to do them, how we need to do them, then we will not have an opportunity to do it!

I'm sure you've had different things in your life come up that way. You say, 'Oh, I should have…' But you didn't!

Verse 11: "And afterwards the other virgins also came, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open to us.' But He answered and said, 'Truly I say to you, I do not know you'" (vs 11-12).

They didn't have enough of the Holy Spirit of God that Christ would know them. How this fits in and who it applies to, God alone knows. In all of this, there are certain things that we just don't know. We'll find out here in just a minute.

He gives a warning here; v 13: "Watch, therefore, for you do not know the day nor the hour in which the Son of man is coming." That is applied two ways:

  • God can come upon you at any time for a trial or the end of your life; you don't know.
  • When it comes to the end of the age, we don't know exactly how that's going to come about in the finite details.

We know the framework of what's going to happen. We know the major events that will take place. We always have to be vigilant, because just when—and we've seen this how many times?—we think that we're getting close to the end in the return of Christ. What happens? Something happens that there's much more time left!

Now, you can go clear back in the history of the Church of God. You can find that on FriendsofSabbath.org  The Churches of God back then in the 1830s were looking at Napoleon as the King of the North and the beast of Rev. 13. And sure enough, a couple of times it happened.

Did Napoleon get down into Egypt? Yes, he did! But he didn't take over the Holy Land. The temple wasn't built. Then along came Bismarck, and it didn't happen under Bismarck either. Then along came WWI, and it didn't happen then. And then along came WWII with Adolf Hitler. Herbert Armstrong was saying all during that time that Hitler was the beast.

Well, didn't happen. Why? No temple! The key for the whole thing in the end-time is the temple being built. So he says, watch!

Verse 14: "For the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man leaving the country, who called his own servants and delivered to them his property. Now, to one he gave five talents, and to another two, and to another one" (vs 14-15).

Then it goes into those who are the five talents, two talents and one talent.

There is the one thing that we're going to be looking for that has to take place. There has to be a King of the North who comes out of Europe. That's why all of this is taking place with the ups and downs in Europe at the present time. So, we'll see where that goes.

Matthew 24:14: "And this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be proclaimed… [says published in Mark 13] …in all the world for a witness to all nations, and then shall the end come."

We know there will be two witnesses in Jerusalem (Rev. 11). Will that be the last witnessing to the whole world and to the beast and to the false prophet? Probably!

Here's the key; v 15: "Therefore, when you see…" Notice, it doesn't say 'hear about.' you see. Think about that on a worldwide basis.

If the temple is built, which it will be, and the King of the North comes down and takes things in Egypt and then goes into the Holy Land and then goes into the temple and says that he's God, that's what's going to happen here.

Verse 15: "'Therefore, when you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the Prophet, standing in the Holy place.' (The one who reads, let him understand.)."

When the temple was destroyed in 70A,D., there was no abomination of desolation standing in the Holy Place. Good example of how prophecy is fulfilled. All these things:

  • false prophets
  • wars
  • rumors of wars
  • persecution
  • many being led into sin
  • lawlessness shall be multiplied

That has happened in cycles all the way down through time until now. But there has never been the abomination of desolation standing in the Holy Place like it says in 2-Thess. 2.

So let's just review that a bit. This has not happened. But we find from Rev. 13 that the Beast Power is going to be worshipped because the false prophet will declare him as 'God in the flesh on earth.' How does he get the deadly wound that is healed? We don't know! We can speculate a little bit on that.

Be sure and get our In-Depth Study: Daniel/Revelation because that puts everything in perspective.

We can know for sure that there is going to be a spiritual battle between the two witnesses and the beast and the false prophet!

That will be going on for three and a half years. What's going to start it out is the abomination that makes desolate, because the one who is the beast is going to go into the Temple of God saying that he himself is God!

2-Thessalonians 2:3: "Do not let anyone deceive you by any means because that day… the Day of the Lord] …will not come unless the apostasy shall come first…" This means a complete turning away from God!

That's what this one world religion is going to be. Like I just read, there's the groundwork being laid for that right now by the pope. When all the religions come together, that's going to be quite a thing. When the temple is built in the proper place, that will be quite a thing. That's what will lead to a temporary peace. Then the deadly wound is going to happen, he will be revived.

Verse 4: "…so that he comes into the Temple of God…"

Verse 3: "…and the man of sin shall be revealed—the son of perdition." This is not Judas Iscariot!

Gerald Flurry of the Philadelphia Church says the son of perdition was Joseph Tkach. That was not so! This is at the Temple of God in Jerusalem.

Verse 4: "The one who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is an object of worship; so that he comes into the Temple of God and sits down as God, proclaiming that he himself is God."

That will be quite spectacular, especially having had the deadly wound that was healed. Then having the false prophets say this is God in the flesh. Worship him. Make an idol to him (Rev. 13).

  • if you don't make an idol to him you're going to be killed
  • if you don't take the mark of the beast you're going to be killed

So, we haven't come close to that, yet! But everything in its own time.

Verse 5: "Do you not remember that when I was still with you, I told you these things? And now you understand what is holding him back in order for him to be revealed in his own set time. For the mystery of lawlessness… [that's exactly what it is] …is already working…" (vs 5-7).

You find that it was. You read the three Epistles of the Apostle John and you find that there were many antichrists back then. Read the 2-Peter 2. There were false teachers coming in proclaiming all kinds of things and going directly against God. You read the book of Jude; it says that 'these men came in unawares.'

Verse 7: "For the mystery of lawlessness is already working; only there is One Who is restraining at the present time until it arises out of the midst. And then the lawless one will be revealed…" (vs 7-8). Notice the time setting!

How did Joseph Tkach die? He died of cancer! And he died on the Sabbath, the day that he hated. This shows that it was not Joseph Tkach. Why?

Verse 8: "…(whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth, and will destroy with the brightness of His coming)… [Where do we find that? Rev. 19!] …even the one whose coming is according to the inner working of Satan… [at his most powerful moment] …with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in those who are perishing because they did not receive the love of the Truth, so that they might be saved" (vs 8-10).

Now this might shed a little light on the five foolish virgins as well.

  • How much of the truth did they have?
  • How much did they keep?
  • How much were they willing to be faithful unto death?

We don't know!

So, the only thing we can say about the ten virgins and the five foolish virgins is God knows He'll have to make the decision.

Notice what's going to happen to the whole world. Remember it says there in Rev. 12.9 that Satan is deceiving the whole world. In Rev. 13 that they worship Satan and the beast.

So, this is going to be quite a thing that's going to come. It will be convincing because of all of the turmoil leading up to it. Then all of a sudden looks like there's going to be peace, Which will be the first three and a half years of the last seven. Notice what happens.

Verse 11: "And for this cause God will send upon them a powerful deception…"

They are going to believe that they are right. They are going to believe that that one who goes into the temple must be God manifested in the flesh. The two witnesses will be saying, 'No, he's not God manifested in the flesh.'

They will be trying to kill the two witnesses during their 1260-day ministry, but they won't be able to. But this powerful deception:

"…will cause them to believe the lie, so that all may be judged who did not believe the Truth, but who took pleasure in unrighteousness" (vs 11-12).

There it is again! That's the separation that's coming in the world. Let's come back here to Rev. 13 and see how that all fits together again, because this is what we need to be looking for. That's why Jesus said, 'Don't let anyone deceive you by any means, and always be alert and watching.'

It's very interesting when you look at some of these prophecies and it says—like the abomination of desolation—when you see!

Today we have something that they never had before our age: instant communication! If a volcano explodes somewhere—instant! The big one we need to watch for here in America is the Caldera in Yellowstone National Park, because the lava is only 1500 feet below the surface. If that one goes off, that'll be astounding.

Revelation 13:1: "And I stood on the sand of the sea… [people, nations and languages (Rev. 17)] …and I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast that I saw was like a leopard, and his feet like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion; and the dragon gave him his power, and his throne and great authority" (vs 1-2).

  • What is that great authority?
  • What did Satan offer Jesus when He was tempted? 'If you worship me, I'll give you all the nations and the wealth and the glory of them, for it's been delivered to me.' That's what it will be.

Who are these two witnesses out here dressed in sackcloth coming against me, 'God in the flesh?' So, you see the battle that's coming,

Verse 3: "And I saw one of his heads as if it were slain to death, but his deadly wound was healed; and the whole earth…" Watch this when you get into prophecy:

  • the whole earth
  • all nations
  • every man and woman

Those expressions apply to the end-time in such a way that become crystal clear that in ages past it was difficult to understand. How could all the world see the beast going into the temple? Imagine what the great ceremony is going to be with that.

Verse 4: "And they worshiped the dragon, who gave his authority to the beast. And they worshiped the beast, saying, 'Who is like the beast?…. [we've never had anyone like this, yet] …Who has the power to make war against him?'" This ties in directly with 2-Thess. 2!

Verse 5: "And a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies was given to him; and authority was given to him to continue for forty-two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, and His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. And he was given power to make war against the saints… [martyrdom of the saints will begin there] …and to overcome them; and he was given authority over every tribe and language and nation. And all… [not just some] …who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world" (vs 5-8).

This is what we're looking to. All those pronunciations by different ones in the past didn't turn out, because they didn't match the prophecies that were given. That's what it has to be!

The great thing that needs to happen is building the temple!  When the cornerstone of the temple has been laid, we will probably see all of Europe having risen to be a great power again. We will see that the Muslims, because of building the temple in the right place, will temporarily be at peace with the Jews. That's what we need to look to.

 (break@47:56)

Q#3—Jesus told us when we pray, we should pray to the Father.

John 16:26: "In that day, you shall ask in My name… [He didn't say pray to me. He said]: …in My name; and I do not tell you that I will beseech the Father for you." In other words, you don't go through Jesus, you come to the Father!

Now, Jesus is there at his right hand.

Is it wrong to pray or talk to Jesus? No, but Jesus said that you ask in My name, and here's the reason:

Verse 27: "For the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from God."

In Matthew 6:9[transcriber's correction] the first thing we are to say is: "Therefore, you are to pray after this manner: 'Our Father, Who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name.'"

So, we are to pray directly to the Father! It's not wrong to include Jesus into prayer, because he's the Head of the Church.

Let's see one of the things that Jesus did so we can have access to the Father directly.

Ephesians 2:14: "For He is our peace… [that is Christ] …who has made us both one… [Jews and Gentiles, all people] …and has broken down the middle wall of partition"—which was actually a middle wall in the temple area that separated the Gentiles from the Jews! It's a middle wall of separation.

Verse 15: "Having annulled in His flesh the enmity, the law of commandments contained in the decrees of men…"

That is all the laws of the Jews, all of the traditional laws. You can say that of Protestantism, of Catholicism, of Islam, of Hindu, all the laws and commandments of men! He has annulled them!

"…so that in Himself He might create both into one new man, making peace; and that He might reconcile both to God in one body through the cross, having slain the enmity by it. Now when He came, He preached the Gospel—peace to you who were far off and to those who were near. For through Him we both have direct access by one Spirit to the Father" (vs 15-18).

When we're baptized, we receive the Spirit of God. There are two parts to that Spirit of God as we find in John 14:

  • the Spirit of the Father for begettal
  • the Spirit of Christ to develop the mind of Christ

So, it's not wrong to pray to Jesus, but Jesus said to pray to the Father, because we have direct access.

Verse 18: "For through Him we both have direct access by one Spirit to the Father. So then, you are no longer aliens and foreigners; but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of the household of God. You are being built up on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief Cornerstone" (vs 18-20).

  • Christ is involved
  • He's the Head of the Church
  • He carries everything out
  • we pray directly to the Father

That's how it should be!

Verse 21: "In Whom all the building, being conjointly fitted together, is increasing into a Holy temple in the Lord; in Whom you also are being built together for a habitation of God in the Spirit" (vs 21-22).

It's not wrong to pray to Jesus, but He said to pray to the Father.

Q #4concerning self-defense—In this world with so much evil going on, is it wrong to have guns?

It's not wrong to have guns if they are used for the purpose of, say, getting game. I don't think it's good to have weapons where you're going to shoot people. It says in the Bible, 'if you live by the sword, you'll die by the sword.'

If you're able to shoot one and get rid of that person, what's going to happen when ten show up the next time?

We need to put our trust in God, protection of the angels, and in certain cases there comes problems and difficulties that we may die. What are we to be faithful and do? Be faithful unto death and I will give you a crown of life! He doesn't tell us how the death is going to come.

Q#5

  • What is a martyr in the modern church?
  • What is a cult in the modern church?
  • What is the faith once delivered
  • those who die have died in the faith?

That's asking an awful lot.

A martyr in the modern church is when you were killed for your faith; same as it was down through time. A cult in the modern church is where you put the leader of the church ahead of God; and you must follow the man in spite of God. That is a cult!

Also, a cult is where they take part of the Word of God and then they twist it and turn it so it becomes a perversion of the Truth.

What is the faith once delivered to those who have died in the faith? Well, the faith is that you love God, you love Jesus Christ, and if you are killed for your faith, then you are a martyr! Doesn't matter what age it is.

The writer gives the reason: I was in the Church of God Eternal by Raymond Cole. After he died, a new minister took over and altered some teachings. I was in that church for six years before coming to CBCG. There were at least five deaths among the brethren during my time. and all those deaths were preventable.

The new minister says that the brethren should not go to a doctor or take any medications, because this is a doctor of demons. Is it? Then he listed three different people who died because they were forbidden going to the doctor. Let's see what Jesus said:

  • Is it wrong to go to a doctor?
  • Is it wrong to take medications?

The medications depend upon what it is.

  • there are natural medications which are from herbs
  • there are supplements and vitamins and so forth

That's perfectly okay to take!

One of the keys to health is take care of your body. Know your strengths and your weaknesses.

  • don't get carried away into oddball things
  • don't think that if you don't eat unclean meats that everything is all well; that may not be so

So, you have to find out about your body!

  • What is it?
  • What are your body's strengths?
  • What are your body's weaknesses?
  • What do you need to do?

Myself, I don't take any medications! I do take vitamins and supplements and watch carefully what I eat, because I have to. There was a time when I didn't take care of myself the way that I should have. I had two operations for artificial hips.

So, did God reject me because I had those operations? No, but it was a lesson to me;hey, you better take care of yourself, and don't think that everything's going to be fine unless you watch out what you're doing. That's a lesson for all of us. Let's see what Jesus said:

Matthew 9:10[transcriber's correction]: "Then it came to pass when Jesus sat down to eat in the house that behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Him and His disciples. And after seeing this, the Pharisees said to His disciples, 'Why does your Master eat with tax collectors and sinners?'" (vs 10-11). What was the law of the Jew?

  • you couldn't eat with them
  • you couldn't visit with them
  • you couldn't eat with them
  • you couldn't visit with them
  • you couldn't associate with them

They were outcasts from the Jewish community! Here's Jesus' answer:

Verse 12: "But when Jesus heard it, He said to them, 'Those who are strong do not have need of a physician, but those who are sick.'"

A physician is not exactly like a physician today, because some of the modern medicines are really very toxic drugs. So you need to, if you go to a doctor—the questioner gave an example of a man who was having very severe gallbladder problems because there was infection in his gallbladder and infection in his intestine, and they cut out the gallbladder and cut out the infection, and he recovered.

There have been others who have had gallbladder operations, as well. Now then, what's the lesson? Learn to take care of your body! When you have some pain, there's a reason for it. Find out what it is. Most of it will end up that:

  • you have to change your diet
  • you may need a supplement
  • you may need to lose weight
  • you may have to eliminate all sugar altogether, which I recommend to everybody

Refined sugar is one of the things that causes a lot of health problems in people today. What causes a lot of health problems in babies is this: The mothers do not nurse them but give them formula, and formula is made from soybean. The soybean is high in estrogen, so you get fat children and you get weak males. That's what happens!

How many people have made it part of their way of living to study on how to take care of your body? If our body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit, do we not need to take care of them? Yes, indeed!

Then we can find out all the natural things that are necessary, and you don't need the medications from doctors.

Now, there may be times when it's necessary for a short period of time. But for the ministry to say, 'You shall not go to a doctor,' is wrong!

Have there been people who have gone to the doctor and have a lot of brethren pray for them for the difficulty that they were in, and they were healed and raised up? Yes!

Here from headquarters, we send out anointed cloths all the time; a good number of them; people are healed. But also people have found out they need to change something in their life that is causing the problem. When you stop doing it, you eliminate what's going on against you. It's that simple.

Now, there are a lot of people who are diabetics today. They need to check out what is the right diet for them to take and what to do so they can get off all medication.

You can go online, and there are a lot of places you can look up online about diabetes and what you can do.

The doctors will give you diabetic shots or diabetic medication. That's not helping the problem at all. Getting rid of the sugar is a start, but you also need to get rid of all of the dead cells within the body that's gathered around the pancreas, which cuts off the balancing out of the sugars in the body.

So, a lot of people think, 'I'll quit eating unclean meats.' That's good, but that's not all, that's a first step. Also, you need to consider exercise. In addition to what I do, I exercise every day. On the Sabbath, I wait until the Sabbath is over and then exercise, and on Friday I make sure I exercise before the Sabbath begins. I have to. Just this last week, I turned 90.

I don't know how much longer I'm going to live, but:

  • if I don't take care of myself
  • if I don't watch what I eat
  • if I don't exercise
  • if I don't study
  • if I don't pray
  • if I don't take things seriously

Even at my age, I can't sit back and say that I've done this, I've done that, I've done the other thing. God will tell me, 'I expected you to do it.'

Q#6Concerning divorce and remarriage

All divorce and remarriage cases are difficult to handle, and it must be, you must follow all the things in the Bible concerning it. If it happened before you were baptized, that was living in sin, and when you're baptized, those are forgiven.

But within the Churches of God, when they brought out concerning doctors, everyone ran off to the doctors and forgot about being anointed and forgot about taking care of their bodies; so a lot of them are dying ahead of time.

Same way with divorce and remarriage. Matter of fact, one church says, well, if your mate is not in the Church, you can divorce them, and then you can marry someone in the Church. Not so!

1-Cor. 7 says that if the unbelieving is pleased to dwell with the believer, that's fine. God accepts it. It says there in 1-Peter 3, who knows, speaking to the wives, if your converted attitude and way of loving your husband will not bring him into the faith, as well. We need to understand that.

Q#7In your next Q&A message, please address how CBCG members are to address local, county, state and federal voting occasions

Voting is another thing. Voting is not a sin, but voting is not going to accomplish very much. On a local level, you may be able to be somewhat instrumental in getting less corrupt people into local offices, but that's the way that it is.

Voting is not wrong, but voting isn't going to bring in the Kingdom of God. Voting isn't going to make the politicians honest.

That's strictly up to you as an individual. I have voted for the least evil and the ones who will cut my taxes. Other than that, I don't put any faith in voting at all, except it may help a little bit on a physical plane.

Q#8In Exo. 32:34, and 33:2, 'angel' is capitalized

It's capitalized in some translations, but not in The Faithful Version.

Exodus 32:33: "And the LORD said to Moses, 'Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.'"

After Israel had sinned, worshiped the golden calf and the sin of Aaron, that Moses went up and God told Moses, 'look, I'll make a nation out of you.' And Moses said, 'Take my name out of the Book of Life.' But God spared the children of Israel.

God said, 'That's My business.' There is some business that is God's.

Verse 34: "And now go, lead the people to the place of which I have spoken to you. Behold, My angel…"—lowercase; it should be lowercase!

Why they have it capitalized in other translations, I do not know, because they figured that that must have been one of the chief of the angels. Same way in:

Exodus 33:2: "And I will send an angel before you. And I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite; to a land that is flowing with milk and honey…" (vs 2-3).

Well, the botanical situation of the Middle East at that time is entirely different than what it is today. But the angel, there's no need to capitalize it at all, unless one would perhaps know it would be a chief angel.

Q#9Millennial Temple

Here's one that a lot of people get confused all the time. The temple described in Ezekiel 40-44, is that the Millennial Temple?

Let's look at that for just a little bit. Let's talk about the first temple.

1-Chron. 28—we will see the instructions that David gave to Solomon for building the temple. Now, this is something, and a great lesson for us. This is before all the great ones, all of the captains, all of the priests and stewards, and so forth"

1-Chronicles 28:2: "And David the king stood up on his feet and said, 'Hear me, my brethren and my people. I had in my heart to build a house of rest for the Ark of the Covenant of the LORD…'"

Sidebar: Revelation 11:19: "And the Temple of God in heaven was opened, and the Ark of His Covenant was seen in His Temple…"

God had it taken there before the destruction of the temple in Jeremiah's day. Why? Because He knew that men would want to take that Ark of the Covenant and use it as power for them.

That's even what Hitler wanted to find. Look at what happened to the Ark of the Covenant when the Philistines got hold of it. That's why God took it to heaven.

"…rest for the Ark of the Covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made preparations for the building. But God said to me, 'You shall not build a house for My name, because you have been a man of war and have shed blood.'…. [even though it was his desire] …However, the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel forever. For He has chosen Judah to be the ruler, and of the house of Judah the house of my father. And among the sons of my father's house He was pleased to make me king over all Israel. And of all my sons (for the LORD has given me many sons), He has chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel" (vs 2-5). Now these are good instructions for us!

  • What's going to happen for us at the resurrection?
  • What are we going to be? Kings and priests!

This is going to be a lesson on how we need to conduct ourselves and our lives. This is an admonition to Solomon. Unfortunately, Solomon apostatized, even after God spoke to him twice, and even after he wrote many of the Proverbs and the book of Ecclesiastes!

Verse 6: "And He said to me, 'Solomon your son shall build My house and My courts, for I have chosen him to be My son, and I will be his Father. And I will establish his kingdom forever…'" (vs 6-7).

Now notice, whatever the word forever is, you read a little further, and you're going to find conditional statements. Likewise for us.

  • we will be in the Kingdom of God
  • we will be resurrected IF we are faithful

"…[#1if he continues resolute in keeping My commandments and My ordinances, as he is today" (v 7).

So, Solomon was at one time very loving, very obedient, and was noted by God. David continues this charge:

Verse 8: "And now in the sight of all Israel, the congregation of the LORD, and in the hearing of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments of the LORD your God…"—lifelong project!

The problem is that people, when they reach a certain level, they rest on their laurels. Can never do that! Whatever you have already done is done.

  • if it's good, that's fine
  • if you have sinned, repent

That's a problem of the Laodiceans!

"…seek for all the commandments of the LORD your God, so that you may possess this good land and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you forever. And you, Solomon my son, acknowledge the God of your father and serve Him with a perfect heart" (vs 8-9).

That means: do not let anything come between you and God! This is a great lesson for us today!

"…and with a willing mind…" (v 9).

You don't do it and say, 'Oh well, God says to do it; I'll do it, but I really don't like it.' Sometimes it looks that way. You don't have to say it. All you have to do is know this. Everything is according to what God wants done. Whatever it may be.

"…for the LORD searches all hearts and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts…." (v 9).

Just like we read at the beginning, there is nothing secret that shall not be known; there is nothing hidden which shall not be brought to light!

Now notice what he says, another condition we will see. There are three ifs; one in v 7 and two in v 9.

"…[#2]If you seek Him, He will be found by you…" (v 9) Now that's quite a statement! isn't it?

  • Do we seek God with all our heart, with all our mind, with all our soul?
  • Do we love Him?
  • Do we obey Him?

This is what it's all about! So, there's the second condition. Notice the next one is the warning:

"…But [#3]if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever…. [this is all getting up to the temple] …Take heed now, for the LORD has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary. Be strong and do it'" (vs 9-10).

Verse 11 is the key to Ezek. 40 and the temple description there:

Verse 11: "And David gave to his son Solomon the plan of the porch, and of its houses, and of its treasuries, and of its upper rooms, and of its innermost rooms, and of the place of the mercy seat, and the plans of all that he had by the spirit, of the courts of the house of the LORD, and of all the rooms all around the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries of the Holy things; and for the courses of the priests and the Levites, and for all the work of the service of the house of the LORD, and for all the vessels of service in the house of the LORD" (vs 11-13).

Then it talks about all the gold and everything that he had there!

  • What do we have? We have plans from God!
  • Can you build a house for God without His plans?
  • Can you build a house for God if you don't have the plans from God?
  • NO!

Ezek. 40—the answer to the question is because a lot of people have been told that the description of the temple in Ezek. 40-44 is for the Millennial Temple. It is not!

Ezekiel 40:1: "In the twenty-fifth year of our captivity, in the beginning of the year, on the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after the city was stricken…"—it took 20 years!

In the 20th year, which then is 7 years later from this vision, the temple was destroyed. Torn down!  The city burned; everything burned (2-Kings 25 and 2-Chron., as well)

"…on the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after the city was stricken, in the same day the hand of the LORD was on me, and brought me there" (v 1).

What city is it talking about? Jerusalem!

Verse 2: "In the visions of God He brought me into the land of Israel, and made me rest on a very high mountain, upon which was a structure like a city on the south."

  • Then he had this vision; what was given to him? The measurements of the temple!
  • Why? Because God knew that after the destruction of the first temple, the Jews would come back out of exile and build a second temple.

These are the plans for the second temple, not the Millennial Temple!

  • Why? This tells all about sacrifices, the priests and the Levites!
  • What do we find?
  • What about sacrifices?
  • Will not Christ be on the earth? Yes!
  • Will not the saints be the priests and the kings? Yes!
  • Who is the sacrifice for all sin? Christ!

With Christ as King and all the saints ruling, there's no need for sacrifices, just like today. Let's see what Paul wrote:

Hebrews 10:1: "For the priestly law, having only a shadow of the good things that are coming, and not the image of those things, with the same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, is never able to make perfect those who come to worship."

If salvation is going to be granted to the world, that is perfection with the Spirit of God! They didn't have the Spirit of God in them when the temple was there with the animal sacrifices.

Verse 2: "Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered? For once those who worship had been purified, they would no longer be conscious of sin. On the contrary, in offering these sacrifices year by year, there is a remembrance of sins" (vs 2-3)—also, a remembrance of the sacrifice!

  • What is the sacrifice right now? Jesus Christ!
  • What will be the sacrifice during the Millennium? Jesus Christ!

Verse 4: "Because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins."

Verse 5: "For this reason, when He comes into the world, He says, 'Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but You have prepared a body for Me. You did not delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin'"—because the sacrifice of Christ replaced it.

So you go back and read the other chapters in the book of Ezekiel: 40-44, and you find the sacrifices and you find the offerings. But nowhere does it mention the king, because after the captivity in Babylon they came back, they had no king. They only had a governor who was considered a prince. You can read that in the different chapters about that.

So, the long and short of it is that all of those chapters in Ezek. 40-44 are plans for the second temple!

Also note this, as I said before, all the records of everything taken out of the destruction of the first temple and the destruction of the second temple never mentioned the Ark of the Covenant!

All this nonsense you see on television: Where's the covenant?

  • we dug here
  • it's in Ethiopia
  • it's over here in Spain
  • it's in the Vatican

It's not there, because no one can have it or touch it without great destruction coming upon them! So, God took it away by angels apparently, and it is at the Temple of God in heaven!

What will there be in the Millennium? We have just two verses which tells us what will be there in Jerusalem!

  • there won't be any animal sacrifices
  • there won't be a physical temple

These two verses tell us what it will be. It will be, as we will see, a great tabernacle.

Isaiah 4:5: "And the LORD will create over every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and over her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night…"

Now, didn't the children of Israel have that when they were in the Exodus for 40 years? Yes, they did! Showing the presence of God with them!

"…for over all the glory shall be a canopy" (v 5)—over Mount Zion, which is in Jerusalem, where Christ is going to be King, where all the patriarchs will be with him and whoever else the prophets and so forth.

Verse 6: "And there shall be a tabernacle…"—not a temple!

So, all of those who read Ezek. 40-44 and say, 'I think it's the Millennial Temple,' don't understand! Animal sacrifices will not be there.

Verse 6: "And there shall be a tabernacle for shade by day from the heat, and for refuge, and for shelter from storm and rain."

Q #10What is the meaning of Ezekiel 37?

Ezek. 37 cannot be understood without one verse in Rev. 20. Sometimes this is the way it is with the prophecies of God. You have a little bit in one place and you have more in another place. here we have one of the most astounding sentences in the entirety of the Bible, because people always want to know:

  • What is God going to do with all the people?
  • Are all of these people who are good people that were blinded, are they all lost? NO they're not!

Rev. 20:4 talks about the first resurrection! The next verse brings up the question: What happens to the rest of the dead, because that will be almost all of humanity from the beginning of time?

Revelation 20:5: (But the rest of the dead did not live again… [this is the resurrection] …until the thousand years were completed.)"

That's a parenthetical statement interjected there because it's talking about the first resurrection. The first question that comes up is: What about the rest of the people?

"…the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were completed."

Ezek. 37 cannot be understood without Rev.20:5, because it doesn't make any sense until you understand what it says. I'll go through it, but you go through and watch any day eight of the Feast of Tabernacles!

Ezekiel 37:1: "The hand of the LORD was on me, and brought me by the Spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of a valley, and it was full of bones."

Now, if you find bones, what does that tell you? That someone was alive once! You see all these archaeological digs they're digging up today? Amazing! They're all going back to the gods that God destroyed. Look at what the Egyptians go through to try and find eternal life. And guess what? They're still there!

Verse 2: "And He made me walk among them all around. And behold, very many were in the open valley. And lo, they were very dry."

So, it showed that they died a long, long time ago! Think about Ezekiel looking at all those bones.

Verse 3: "And He said to me, 'Son of man, can these bones live?' And I answered, 'O Lord GOD, You know.' Again He said to me, 'Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, "O dry bones, hear the Word of the LORD"'" (vs 3-4).

How powerful is the Word of God? It's life and death!

Verse 5: "Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones, 'Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.'"

Here's the thing that the Bible does very often. It tells you what's going to happen before it happens, gives you an overview of it before the details. Or like we have in Rev. 20:5, gives you one verse and you've got to search out the rest of the Bible to find out what that means. So, it's Ezek. 37.

Verse 6: "And I will lay sinews on you, and will bring up flesh on you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live. And you shall know that I am the LORD."

  • Ezekiel prophesied
  • bones came together
  • prophesied they were all there, but no breath
  • he prophesied to the wind. and give them breath

Verse 11: "And He said to me, 'Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel…." That means all of Israel that have lived and died that God knew!

But they rebelled against God. He never offered them eternal salvation. And there is no eternal salvation given in the Old Testament at all, except to the prophets and Moses and Abraham and the patriarchs. All of Israel did not have that. Now, here they are alive.

"…Behold, they say, 'Our bones are dried and our hope is lost; we ourselves are completely cut off.' Therefore, prophesy and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, O My people, I will open your graves…" (vs 11-12).

  • What is this? A second physical life!
  • For what? A first opportunity for salvation!

You can't understand that unless you know Rev. 20:5. The world doesn't know this. They're under the myth and delusion that when you die, you go to heaven. You don't go to heaven! Yes, your spirit returns to God, but it's just much like a computer chip.

You take the chip out of a computer—with all the information is on it—but there's no life in it. The spirit of man is just like that and it goes back to God and He stores it. That's what He does for the first resurrection, and that's what He does for the second resurrection. God is in control of all life!

Verse 12: "Therefore, prophesy and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up out of your graves, and will bring you into the land of Israel. And you shall know that I am the LORD when I have opened your graves, O My people, and have brought you up out of your graves"'" (vs 12-13).

Verse 14: "And I shall put My Spirit in you…"

What is that? That's conversion! You receive the Spirit of God, that's conversion. This is a second physical life for a first opportunity for salvation! That's why Jesus said, 'I have blinded them.' Why did he blind them?

  • so they wouldn't commit the unpardonable sin
  • so that they could be resurrected in the second resurrection (Rev. 20:5).

Now, the Jews read this not knowing the New Testament, and they say that 'this is symbolic of those who came out of the Holocaust, the WWII and came into the 'promised land,' which they call Israel today, which should be called Judah.

Verse 14: "'And I shall put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. And you shall know that I the LORD have spoken it and have done it,' says the LORD."

The rest of Ezek. 37 begins at the Millennium. Contrary to the way that we think, God doesn't put all the prophecies together in chronological fashion, especially when you read the book of Isaiah.

Q #11Appendix E—the fast of the third month

That was a fast of the Jews, not in the Bible!

Q #12the hundred and eighty-fifth Olympiad

Get A Harmony of the Gospels and go to page 349 and you'll see where it is listed there.

Q #13—Flat Earth

There are a lot of people who believe in the flat earth today, which is silly and nonsense, because if you have a flat earth, then everybody has the same season. Everybody has the same sunrise. Everybody has the time.

So here we are speaking right now and Pacific Daylight Time and it's 3:40 pm.; it's already tomorrow in New Zealand and Australia.

Now you couldn't have different time zones if the earth were flat. You couldn't have part of the earth dark and part of the earth light if the earth were flat. So, the people who believe in a flat earth are deceived.

Q #13What is the meaning of Rev. 12:14?

It has to do with going to a place of safety and what the difference that is between that and what they call the secret rapture. There's no such thing! You all need to understand this.

Protestants are just another form of Catholicism. All the days that the Catholics keep, with the exception of the different 'saints' days,' are the same days that the Catholics keep. They all meet on Sunday. So, everyone who thinks he's a Protestant, you're really just another brand of Catholicism.

What has to happen with all of those people is this: First question they need to ask themselves. I don't care

  • how devoted and how long you've been in the Catholic Church
  • what your position is
  • which Jesuits have educated you or nuns or fathers or whatever

Same way with those who go to theological seminaries with the Protestants!

Why don't they teach the Word of God? They take some here! They take some there! But part of it does not equal all of it. My challenge to everyone is this:

  • How many lies do you believe?
  • Do you even know what the lies are that you believe?
  • How many of those lies that you believe are true and are not?

But you accept them as truth because some man dressed as a woman called a 'father' who is celibate, supposedly, told you what was so, and you believed it.

How many lies do people believe? The whole system is built on lies!

The whole economic system is built on the Roman system of Christmas, Easter, New Year, Halloween, Valentine's Day. All the merchants get a lot of money because of it! It's Babylon the Great!

If you want to come to God, you come to God on His terms! God says, repent; you repent to Him. You just don't feel sorry for your sins because you have a conscience that is bothering you. You have to repent to God!

That's what it's all about. All of these lies and deceptions, people come into the Bible and they claim that they're experts for this, that and the other. But they never take the time

  • to really believe
  • to obey
  • to love God
  • to do what is true
