Feast of Tabernacles and Last Great Day 2015
Monday, September 28 through Monday, October 5
Here is the information packet for the 2015 Feast of Tabernacles. Listed below are the major Feast sites. In addition to these, there will be many smaller sites scattered across the USA. Please carefully follow the instructions.
Please be sure to return the Feast Information Form as soon as possible.
Each person is responsible for making his or her own reservations. In all locations, please mention that you are with the Christian Biblical Church of God, because in most cases we have been given special rates. Remember that the Feasts of God are as important as the weekly Sabbath. Through keeping them year by year, we are able to learn and understand more about God’s plan as revealed in the Bible.
We pray that this year’s Feast will be the best ever for you and your family!
General Feast Information:
We need your help. Over the years it has been our policy to let people attend the Feast wherever they desired—and to change their minds as need be. Some even wait until a few days before the opening night of the Feast before making housing reservations. However, such late decisions make planning most difficult. Please let us know where you will attend as soon as possible so we can fulfill our contractual obligations of guaranteed minimums.
This year we will again meet at Village by the Sea, which is an all-suite resort hotel featuring one and two bedroom condominium villas. This is a beautiful, historic eleven-acre resort with all the amenities today’s discerning traveler expects—including an indoor heated pool, hot tub, fitness center, free wireless Internet, game room, seasonal outdoor pool, gas grills, and much more. Other amenities include Bocce court, picnic area, and on-site coin laundry.
In addition to the condominium rentals, the resort has a large function hall and banquet facility perfect for weddings, banquets, social events, and meetings of all sizes. The resort borders the Rachel Carson Wildlife Preserve and a tidal salt marsh. The location is perfect for those who enjoy a distant ocean view and watching the Great Blue Herons in the marsh.
The resort is conveniently located near Wells Beach on the southern coast of Maine, just 1.5 hours north of Boston, near Ogunquit and Kennebunkport. The region has excellent seafood restaurants, golfing, whale watching, deep sea fishing, and much more.
Village by the Sea Room Rates:
September 27 through October 4, 2015 The CBCG group rate is buy one night get the second at 50% off. For your members who are staying for the full week, the price will be $699 plus tax which works out to just about $99.85 per night. Prices do not include 7% Maine Lodging Tax.

We will have evening services at 7 PM on September 27, and services for the first day of the Feast (Sept. 28) will begin at 10:30 AM. You can expect spiritually uplifting messages throughout the 8-day festival to help sustain you in the year ahead. We have also reserved the Hampton conference room for 2:30 PM Sabbath services (Sept. 26) for those wishing to come early.
Kalispell is a gorgeous place for families and individuals to observe the Feast. The average daily temperature this time of year should be in the 70s. The city of Kalispell is in the heart of Montana’s Rocky Mountains. Centrally located in the Flathead Valley, this Feast site is surrounded by 360-degree views of Glacier National Park and the Whitefish, Swan and Mission Ranges. The area’s sparkling jewel, Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi, is only 15 minutes from the site. Flathead River is known for its prime fishing.
Kalispell embodies the spirit of the West and was founded in 1891 by railroad builder James J. Hill and businessman and banker Charles Conrad as the Great Northern Railways’ division point on its route from St. Paul to Seattle. You can still travel to Whitefish (which is about 20 miles from Kalispell) via Amtrak’s Historic Empire Builder. It travels between Chicago, Portland and Seattle. Glacier Park International Airport offers direct flights to and from eight major national hubs including Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Denver, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Chicago and Atlanta.
Widely known as the Crown of the Continent, the rugged grandeur of Glacier National Park is just a half-hour drive from the Feast site and is home to hundreds of miles of beckoning hiking trails and beautiful vistas. Glacier comprises 1600 square miles and its highest elevation reaches 10, 466 feet at the summit of Mount Cleveland. The Going-to-the-Sun road is one of the most spectacular drives in the world. We plan to set aside an afternoon as Glacier Day to enjoy this beautiful park together—enjoying wildlife, beautiful fall foliage, and awe-inspiring mountains and waters.
The church has negotiated the rate of $89 (plus local bed tax) per night for standard guest rooms with two queen or king beds at the Hampton Inn, in Kalispell. Each rooms has a coffee maker, refrigerator, and a flat-screen TV. When making your reservations, please let them know you are attending with the CBCG to receive this rate (www.hamptoninnkalispell.com or 1-406-755-7900).
Hampton Inn is part of the Hilton chain and the accommodations are very comfortable. There is a 24-hour indoor pool and hot tub as well as a 24-hour exercise facility. Enjoy a free hot breakfast with fresh waffles every morning, as well as evening coffee and cookies. The Hampton features a business center with high-speed wireless Internet, a gift shop, and a coin-op laundry. Also, a 24-hour airport/local area shuttle is offered by the Hampton.
We plan to have a Family Dinner/Dance, Glacier Park Day, Youth Adventure Day, Museum Tour, Pizza and Swimming, as well as a Game/Fellowship Evening and a Variety Show. Please come prepared to share your talents. There are lots of excellent places to eat, shop, and recreate or just relax within close proximity.
Our festival elder is Marlin Fannin; festival hosts are John and Hiedi Vogele. If you are interested in participating in the Feast choir, youth choir, special music, or can serve in another capacity, please contact John and Hiedi Vogele, festival coordinators, at 406-266-9988. Also, you may go to www.feastoftabernaclesfestival.com to check the schedule and get more information on the site. As we have grown in recent years, we have increased the number of Feast sites. Every year we have sites closer and closer to where the brethren live—so that travel to the Feast is more convenient. May God bless you in every way and make this Feast the best ever!
With love in Christ Jesus,
